The idea for the resort was born from the question: why isn’t there a luxury Northern Lights resort in Finland’s most beautiful municipality, an area known for having the cleanest air in the world? Kuusamo’s nature is exceptionally diverse: rapids, waterways, reindeer, snow-laden trees known as “popcorn trees,” and majestic fells and mountains. This provides an authentic Lapland experience that is rare elsewhere in Finland. The low levels of light pollution compared to larger cities increase the likelihood of seeing the Northern Lights, making the northern sky truly magical.

Behind this project is a team that combines vision, courage, and expertise to create something truly unique here. Our vision is to bring together Northern nature, high-quality local cuisine, lakes, fells, and tundra-like landscapes to create a once-in-a-lifetime experience. We are all local residents of Kuusamo, and the resort area is located on one of our own home grounds – a perfect location.
