On arrival in Bangkok, you are met by the Host and transferred privately to your riverside hotel. As the city hums around you, the Chao Phraya River provides a calming backdrop for your first evening in Thailand.

The rest of the day is free to relax after your journey or step out and sample the city’s vibrant street life and cuisine.

Temples, Traditions & River by Night

Your afternoon begins with a guided exploration of Bangkok’s most revered sites. You will wander through the Grand Palace, marvel at the sacred Emerald Buddha and stand before the vast Reclining Buddha at Wat Pho, where a traditional Thai massage offers a moment of calm and restoration.

As evening falls, you board a dinner cruise on the Chao Phraya River. Drifting past illuminated temples and landmarks, you enjoy a relaxed Thai buffet while seeing Bangkok from its most romantic perspective.

From Bangkok to Kanchanaburi’s Living History

An early start takes you west into Kanchanaburi, a region shaped by dramatic landscapes and powerful history. You visit the Thailand–Burma Railway Centre and War Cemetery before standing on the iconic Bridge over the River Kwai, a sobering reminder of the past.

In the afternoon, the experience deepens at Hellfire Pass, where you walk along the original railway cutting, surrounded by jungle-clad hills.

As evening approaches, you settle into your riverside tented camp, enjoying a relaxed BBQ dinner beneath the stars.

Mon Culture & Floating on the River Kwai

Today is dedicated to cultural connection. Travelling by long-tail boat, you visit a Mon village where local hosts welcome you with storytelling, music and dance passed down through generations. You take part in hands-on experiences, from traditional dress to age-old games, gaining genuine insight into daily life along the river.

Later, you arrive by boat at your floating lodge, gently anchored on the River Kwai.

The afternoon is unhurried — explore tropical gardens, swim or simply watch the river flow past. After dinner, a magical boat journey takes you to enjoy an evening cultural performance before returning to your floating room.

From River Life to Northern Thailand

After a relaxed morning, you travel by boat and road back towards Bangkok Airport to fly north to Chiang Mai*.

The evening is free to unwind or enjoy a gentle introduction to northern Thailand’s slower pace.

This morning you travel into the countryside for a respectful and educational elephant experience. Observing from a safe distance, you follow the elephants as they graze and interact naturally, learning about their behaviour and the conservation efforts that protect them.

You help prepare enrichment food and enjoy a vegetarian lunch while watching the elephants feed, before returning to Chiang Mai in the afternoon with a deeper understanding of ethical wildlife tourism.

Hill Tribe Communities & Forest Trails

Today you journey into the countryside around Chiang Dao, home to forested mountains and diverse hill-tribe communities.

Visiting local markets and agricultural landscapes, you gain insight into rural northern Thailand before trekking through community forest to Dara-ang (Palong) villages.

You explore village life, learn traditional skills and prepare lunch together over a wood fire. The day ends at the remarkable “Sticky Waterfall”, where limestone terraces allow you to walk safely through cascading water — a refreshing and joyful finale before returning to Chiang Mai.

From Mountains to Island Shores

Early this morning you will be transferred to Chiang Mai airport to catch a flight to Trat.

On arrival you will be transferred via ferry across turquoise waters, to your island retreat on Koh Kood, a remote, peaceful island surrounded by nature.

The rest of the day is yours to unwind and embrace island life.
