2. Yoga and Meditation Retreat – Sintra, Portugal

This gorgeous coastal region of Portugal is not to be missed for any lover of nature and the great outdoors. It’s the perfect location for a rejuvenating yoga holiday, tucked away near the seaside village of Azenhas do Mar and Sintra National Park, yet only 40 minutes from Lisbon airport.

The retreat is run by passionate yogis and surfers, Patricia and Zarqa, who’ll lead you through great yoga and meditation sessions (Vinyasa flow in the mornings and Hatha in the evenings) as well as prepare great nutritious food for you. And if you crave some adventure, why not add on a surf lesson or two while you are there?

Set in the laid-back Moroccan village of Tamraght, this retreat is ideal for those on a budget, without compromising quality tuition or a warm group atmosphere.

Morning yoga sessions will leave you energised for the day ahead, whereas the evening sunset sessions will help you to relax and restore. Your daily practice here could cover Hatha, Yin, Vinyasa flow or even Nidra.
