Amazing Treehouse Experience

(2)

What You'll Do

Stay deep in the Welsh forests, suspended in the canopy in total isolation in a unique, beautifully designed treehouse to really experience what it's like to get away from it all.

*Please note that these are now fully booked until November, 2022.

This collection of beautiful treehouses have been featured by magazines and media around the world. Created by local artisans and designers, these are unique structures, high in the tree canopy, and far from the outside world.

Staying in one of these characterful treehouses in the treetops offers the perfect chance to reconnect with nature, as the only sounds around you are the calling birds and the gentle rush of the streams that bubble through the forest.

Relax in a treetop hammock, light up the treehouse log-burning stove and settle in for a cosy evening in the wilderness, or head out exploring on one of our breath-taking recommended walks. Alternatively, drive to one of the wild, windswept, but beautiful beaches nearby.

A cosy little pub, a village shop and a tea-room are just a mile walk away through the creaking trees. But you might simply want to slow the pace of life right down to a stop, and read your book on your own decking 30 feet above the forest floor where otters, hares, badgers, and on some occasions the soay mountain sheep roam.

Please note: this experience can be booked with hot tub option or without. The cost is £45 and must be mentioned in the accommodation text box when requesting space.

Your Local Host:

Mark

Mark Bond has six treehouses, each as unique as the trees in which they are built. They are nestled in a hidden valley, in the heart of the Welsh mountains ... close to the sea and to the end of the hippy trail. Created by himself and Peter Canham, both have an abiding interest in environmental issues, and their treehouses reflect this – as well as the landscapes and creative talents found within the Dyfi Valley.

Experience Itinerary

Arrive in the Wilderness

Settle into your treehouse, relax in a treetop hammock, and get to know your surroundings. Light the wood-burning stove, chop some kindling, and rustle up a treetop banquet after you’ve tested out the private woodland shower.

Explore the Area

Try one of our beautiful mapped walks or visit one of the stunning nearby beaches, finishing up in the local pub for a cosy pint and a meal, before heading back to relax.

Of course, the time is yours to do what you like, so a day spent nestled in the trees, immersed in nature as you unwind and read your book is hardly a day wasted!

Having just returned from the treehouse retreat (we stayed in Lofty), I felt compelled to give a review as both the experience and hosts were great. Upon arrival we took the short walk to our treehouse, over a wobbly bridge and up into the trees. The treehouse itself was very cosy with a double bed, bunk beds and a kitchen/lounge area as well as an outside terrace, plenty of room for the 4 of us. We had a fabulous weekend of walking, toasting marshmallows, chopping wood and lazing in hammocks within the trees – we didn’t want to leave and can understand why these fabulous treehouses get booked up so far in advance. A big shout out to the hosts, they have thought of everything to make your stay perfect.

Although the Treehouses are not dog friendly, your hosts highly recommend the Dolcorsllwyn Lodge dog Kennels about 3 miles away, so you can spend some time hiking the area with them during your stay. They get wonderful feedback! You can contact them here: 01650 511621

All tree houses have a double bed, 2 adult sized bunks, and a folded day bed. It is the perfect set up for 2 adults and 1-3 kids, but of course adults can use the bunks as well.

Absolutely - you're in the woods! Water is kept at about 40 C and your shower is private and lovely.

There are no locks anywhere here. This is one of the many design decisions taken when creating the treehouses. No one locks their cars or houses here, as the creators wanted to reflect the lifestyle enjoyed by the people of this remote valley.

Guests are very secure - this is a 250-acre private estate.

The treehouses are very spaced out - you can't see another treehouse, and you probably won't see another person during your stay.
