What You'll Do

The Northern Lights are one of the most spectacular photography subjects nature can provide, but you need to know certain skills to capture them at their most stunning. Join a highly-qualified instructor in the Lappish wilderness, and return home with beautiful mementos of your time spent gazing at the Aurora Borealis.

Make the most out of the opportunity to photograph the Northern Lights. During the photography workshop, you will learn all the tricks you need to capture the Northern Lights and the night sky in such a way that your photos are an accurate representation of reality.

Your instructor has vast knowledge and experience of photographing the Northern Lights. The workshop provides you with just the right tips on how to handle your camera and set the exposure and shutter to be able to share the magic of the Northern Lights with your friends with the best possible photos.

Born and raised in Finland, for the last twenty -five years Markku has been offering authentic, immersive experiences in the region of Lapland. Markku gained experience working with his sister, as operations manager for her tour company. So, finding, and planning amazing authentic trips and experiences is what he has been doing all his working life.

Location Information

This tour runs from the resorts in Saariselkä, Phyä and Levi  in northern Finland, deep in the heart of Lapland.

250km north of the Arctic Circle, the area you’ll be staying in is a vast expanse of pristine pine forest that is home to bears, golden eagles, wolverines, and thousands of reindeer.

All activities will take place from reception.
