Enjoy a fun filled break to Lapland. Get off the beaten track and experience what the Finnish wonderland has to offer, with a husky safari, reindeer farm visit and a meeting with Santa Claus!

Your adventure begins with a transfer from Rovaniemi Airport to your lakeside suite in the peaceful village of Pyhä. Set beside a frozen lake and surrounded by snow-covered forest, your family-run accommodation offers a warm and welcoming base where you can settle in and relax ahead of the days of magic to come.

One of the highlights of your stay is a day filled with Arctic wonder. Start with a visit to a traditional husky farm, where you’ll meet the friendly, energetic dogs and learn all about their lives and training. Then, wrapped up warm, set off on a thrilling husky safari through the silent winter landscape – gliding across frozen lakes and weaving through snow-laden trees.

From there, the magic continues as you climb into a sleigh pulled by snowmobile and follow a lantern-lit path into the heart of the forest. Waiting is Santa Claus himself, ready to greet your family for a private, unforgettable meeting. Each child will receive a small toy as a special keepsake from the visit.

On your next day, you’ll visit a peaceful reindeer farm to experience the more traditional side of Lapland. After meeting the reindeer and learning about their importance in Sámi culture, you’ll wrap up in blankets and set off on a tranquil sleigh ride through the snowy forest – a slow-paced, calming journey through nature that perfectly captures the spirit of the Arctic.

Unforgettable experiences – these memories of your Christmas holiday in Lapland will last for ever!

*From price per person is based on a family of 4 (2 Adults and 2 Children) in a Family Suite travelling between end of March to end of April.

A full example itinerary is detailed below, activity timings can differ slightly, your own personal schedule will be given to you upon check in.

Arrival

On arrival at Rovaniemi airport you will be greeted by a driver and then transferred to your hotel.

Take some time to relax and enjoy a nice family meal before your adventure really begins tomorrow.

This is a picturesque Lapland experience staying in  a family run hotel on the shore of the lake with an authentic sauna and hot tub on the lake side.

Expect Lappish hospitality and a touch of tranquility in the wilderness, a short drive from the town of Luosto.

Husky Safari & Santa Visit

After breakfast, wrap up warm and head out to a traditional husky farm nestled deep in the Lappish wilderness. You’ll meet your team of eager huskies before setting off on a thrilling safari through the snow-covered forest trails. Glide through pristine landscapes, taking turns to mush and ride as you follow the guide’s lead in this unforgettable Arctic experience.

After the husky safari, your adventure continues as you’re whisked away by snowmobile-pulled sleigh, winding through the silent woods towards a hidden forest hut aglow with festive lights. There, waiting beside the crackling fire, is Santa Claus himself – ready for a completely private family meeting in the forest.

Children will enjoy a warm, personal meeting with Santa, who will present them with a small toy to remember the magical moment. The experience is relaxed, enchanting, and set in a beautifully decorated forest hideaway. After your meeting with Santa, return by sleigh through the snowy trees to complete this unforgettable day.

Dinner will be served in the resort’s restaurant this evening, where you can share stories from your Arctic adventures around a hearty, warming meal.

*To make your child’s Christmas experience more magical please provide their letter to Santa in advance by emailing us a copy to: support@nitgb.com or provide a copy to the hotel reception on arrival.

Reindeer Farm Visit & Sleigh Ride

Today you’ll immerse yourself in the slow, traditional rhythm of Arctic life with a visit to a local reindeer farm. After breakfast, journey into the snowy forest to meet the reindeer herders and their gentle animals, learning about the deep connection between the Sámi people and these iconic creatures of the north.

You’ll then climb into a sleigh for a peaceful ride through the quiet, snow-blanketed forest. Let the soft jingle of reindeer bells and the swish of the sleigh runners be your soundtrack as you glide across the winter landscape, wrapped in blankets and surrounded by nature.

Warm drinks will be served by an open fire, and there’ll be time to ask questions, take photos, and soak up the unique atmosphere of this traditional Lappish experience. You will then return to the hotel where you will have dinner and have some time to relax by the fire or perhaps take a  sauna.
