Yoga and Wild Swimming
7:45am – Meditation and yoga class
Stroll through the walled garden, and majestic wooden gates to the oak framed building. With its lovingly hand crafted oak beams, high ceilings and under floor heating, it makes the ideal space for yoga and mediation practice. Bask in the rising sunlight during morning yoga and then enjoy settling down into candle lit relaxations in the evening. With the peace and tranquility of the surrounding parkland, it is your sanctuary from the outside world. All yoga equipment is provided, from mats to blocks and cushions to straps, so all you need to do is turn up.
9:15am – Breakfast
Healthy eating is an integral part of our retreats here at The Zest Life. This invigorating retreat requires a lot of fuel, which we provide with our delicious plant based vegetarian menu.
10:30am – Safety briefing, kit distribution, then depart for the day’s natural swimming location
We tailor the swims to the groups’ requirements. So where we go will depend how everyone’s feeling and what you fancy getting up to. It could be anything from breathtaking coastal swims on the Isle of Anglesey, to floating about in the spectacular lakes of Snowdonia, to taking an active dip in some of the most stunning waterfalls Wales has to offer.All the options will leave you feeling invigorated and empowered as you connect with nature.
11am-2:30pm – Walk, wild swim and picnic lunch
Your swimming guide will be on hand to provide guidance and we can provide as little or as much kit as you need. This retreat is suitable for all levels of swimming ability.
After your swim you will be greeted with a warming cup of tea or coffee, then it’s time to dive into your wholesome picnic along with a hearty cup of homemade soup.
2:30pm-5pm – Free time to relax, enjoy tea and cake and massages back at Plas Cadnant
6-7pm – Meditation and yoga class
7:30pm – Dinner
In the evening you will enjoy a divine two course meal.
The surroundings of your accommodation are stunning; time and time again our guests say how spectacular the gardens are and we know you will be blown away by their beauty. Over the past 25 years they have undergone a spectacular transformation and have been lovingly restored to their former glory. Winter finds the carpets of Snowdrops, then Daffodils bloom in Spring, scented Sweet Peas climb in the Summer sun and in Autumn, the vibrant red leaves hang silently on the trees glowing in the morning light. In which ever season you choose to visit, the gardens are forever offering tranquil spaces to just be.
