    Oaxaca enjoys a warm, spring-like climate year-round, thanks to its elevation in the Sierra Madre mountains. From November to April, expect dry, sunny days and cooler evenings, perfect for sightseeing, festivals, and hiking. This is the most popular time to visit. The rainy season runs from May to October, with short afternoon showers that freshen the air and keep the landscapes lush. Despite the rain, mornings are often clear and temperatures remain comfortable. Unlike Mexico’s coastal or tropical regions, Oaxaca rarely gets too hot or humid, making it a pleasant destination to visit at almost any time of year.
