Your adventure begins when you arrive at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, Nairobi where you will be met by one of our local hosts who will take you directly to your first accommodation, where you will have the chance to rest and recuperate after your long journey.
From there you will explore the vast, beautiful Tsavo West National Park for two days, with a luxurious tented camp as your base. Put any notions of bare bones camping out of your mind however, as this safari camp helps you stay in the wilderness in total comfort, where you can relax by the pool, watching elephants wallow in a nearby watering whole, Mount Kilimanjaro looming in the distance.
The National Park is home to a diverse range of Kenyan wildlife, including the iconic African big 5 (lions, leopards, buffalo, rhinos and elephants). The park is situated in a remote spot of the Taru Desert and can be known as the “Land of Lava, Springs, Man-eaters and Magical Sunsets”. It is one of the outstanding protected areas in Kenya and provides a vital home for a flourishing ecosystem of many carnivores and herbivores.
During your time here, you will have the opportunity to witness the bush wildlife on game drives and on guided walks with locals, in the hope of catching a glimpse of all of these stunning animals in their natural habitat.
We wouldn’t want you returning home from your wildlife holiday feeling as though it’s been all go however. After your time in Tvaso West, you will spend two days in Mombasa South to unwind on beaches straight out of paradise. You’ll stay in a truly beautiful beach side resort which tastefully pays homage to the local Swahili culture of the area, where you can either relax completely, or enjoy scuba diving, kite surfing or take a trip out on a traditional dhow to explore the coastline.
