A 3 night horse riding break, designed specifically for riders with experience to give you a taste of Tuscany from a new perspective; explore surrounding landscapes during 2 half-day trail rides with the flexibility to add more as you go depending on your own progress and wishes.

Spend 3 nights at this wonderful family-run horse riding centre, located just a 10 minute walk from the medieval village of Montiere in the vast countryside of Maremma.

With the wide range of natural diversity in this area, along with Maremma cross bred horses that handle the terrain with ease, this is the perfect horse riding holiday for those that not only love horses and riding, but also adore the great outdoors.

This short break has been crafted specifically for more experienced riders (intermediate to advanced), however, there are lessons, trail rides and excursions that change daily to suit every level. Each day will bring something new as you gain confidence and explore this wild area from a whole new perspective.

Your team at the horse and trail centre will be there daily to make sure you get the guidance you need, and make sure you’re paired up with a great horse to explore with. Their expert knowledge of the area will have you discovering something new each day, so you will not only leave with more confidence and strength on a horse, but with an exclusive insight of this peaceful area.

In fact, what sets apart this unique horse riding break is that you can add on more horse riding or additional activities as you go depending on how you want to spend your time there. Feel like more time exploring the trails with your horse? Want to add on an extra lesson to improve quicker? Take the time to see the area by bicycle? There is no need to decide before you go – simply take each day as it comes and you can arrange and pay for an additional activity when you are there.

You’ll be staying in a cosy, rustic hotel just 300 metres from the stables & fields where 15 loveable horses roam, overlooking a gorgeous pool and stunning panoramic scenery. In your down time, embrace the outdoors and try one of the many sign-posted trails all around the area and see where you end up. Or simply make yourself at home next to the pool to enjoy the wonderful sunshine.

A Typical Day in Tuscany

After a great breakfast overlooking the wonderful countryside, head off to meet your horses.

As an experienced rider, you will have 2-2.5 hours each day of guided trail rides through unspoiled wild countryside, cross medieval villages, thick woods and rivers.

Extra lessons and trails can be arranged daily on site; we recommend sticking with the basic half-day trails to start and adding extra activities as and when you feel like it once you are there.

After a great morning riding, relax by the pool or on the bar terrace then spend the rest of the day as you please.

If you would prefer to get out and explore the local area, you can also walk to the nearby village Montieri or drive to Massa Marittima, Siena, Florence, Volterra, San Gimignano or to the beach.
