The charming region of Tuscany, renowned for its delicious food and fine wines, will be the setting of this 4-day Tuscan cooking and culture holiday. Tucked away on a wonderfully authentic Italian farm, nestled in the surrounding hills and valleys just 6km from the historic city of Arezzo, you’ll be able to unwind and relax as you drink in the slower Italian lifestyle.

In a rural, relaxed atmosphere you’ll learn timeless recipes, create your own beautiful pastas and local specialties, and sample organic extra virgin olive oil produced right there on the farm. You’ll also enjoy tasting wonderful local wines, including Chianti and Vino Santo dessert wine, all local to the region.

You will be perfecting Tuscan specialities including fresh pastas, accompanying seasonal sauces, traditional cookies with local almonds and chestnut honey, panna cotta and so much more by learning the local secrets and techniques that make Italian cuisine so special.

As well as experiencing all things food and wine, you’ll also get to visit local towns with a rich history and an addictively slow lifestyle in Arezzo and Cortona, where you’ll visit wineries, local food markets, and truly immerse yourself in Italian culture.

Experience Itinerary

Arrival & Cooking Lesson

Meet at Arezzo train station where you’ll be transferred free of charge to the farmhouse. Arrive at the farmhouse for an aperitif with your hosts, Chef Fabrizio and the villa host, Marina, and enjoy your first lesson tasting prosecco with a welcome snack buffet. In the late afternoon, around 4-5pm, you will enjoy your first cooking lesson with Chef Fabrizio where you will prepare a delicious 3 or 4 course meal which you will then sit down and eat together.

Enjoy a cookery holiday set in the heart of Tuscany just 6km outside of the historic Etruscan and Roman city of Arezzo which is nestled within easy reach of the more well-known towns of Siena and Florence.

Escape the city and immerse yourself in the stillness and beauty of the Tuscan countryside. You’ll stay in a former farmhouse, perched on a hillside with panoramic views. This area is not only famous for its food but is also the perfect location in which to enjoy hiking, biking or even horse riding along the countryside trails that surround the farmhouse.

Arezzo Tour & Free Time

After a delicious breakfast at the house, you’ll head to the historic city of Arezzo on a guided tour to see the city’s wonderful sites and picturesque locations. Lunch is at a local family-run restaurant. Spend the afternoon as you wish; relaxing by the pool with a glass of Chianti, exploring the surrounding countryside or reading a book in the gardens. In the evening, return to the house for a delicious pizza or calzone dinner prepared by your Chef and join in the preparation if you wish.

Cooking Lesson & Winery tour

Today after breakfast, don your apron for another cookery lesson followed by lunch where you’ll eat the fruits of your labour together with delicious local wine. In the afternoon, there is a wine tour in a prestigious winery which is famous for its Chianti and Chardonnay. In the evening, sit down to a meal prepared by your Chef at the villa.

Departure

Today is your last morning and after breakfast, check-out and you’ll be transferred back to Arezzo station for your journey home.

My husband and I stayed in a beautiful villa in Arezzo for a wonderful cooking holiday. Fabrizio is a great chef, he taught and cooked delicious Tuscany food for us. He also took us for sightseeing, wine yard etc. He helped to prepare a birthday cake for my husband that made our vacation perfect.

I had a fantastic time with Fabrizio and Marina in Tuscany, they were so welcoming and made you feel part of the family. The cooking lessons were really good fun, I learnt a lot and had a great time in the process, the perfect combination. Overall I thought this was a really well planned and very enjoyable holiday and I would not hesitate recommending this to friends and family.
