Skiathos, Skopelos and Alonissos are three beautiful islands located at Sporades. They are well known for their amazing blue-green waters, and you will have 15 days in order to explore every part of them and relax on their beautiful beaches.

Your two week adventure begins when you land in Skiathos and are transferred to your ferry to Alonissos, the most remote and off the beaten track of the Sporades islands. Whilst here, you’ll enjoy a unique boat tour that takes in magical, white-sand beaches and hidden caves along the rugged coast.

With some of the best swimming and snorkelling in all of the Greek islands, this trip around Alonissos is a real treat. The middle section of your holiday will be spent on Skopelos, the greenest and most lush of the Sporades, and during your time here you’ll enjoy one of your most memorable days.

Head out on a private boat trip with a local captain, spending the day fishing and snorkelling in beautiful settings, before enjoying an delicious meal made with the ingredients you have caught that day – a true highlight of the tour.

You will spend the final section of your Greek island hopping adventure in Skiathos, an island renowned for its many sandy beaches and bustling atmosphere. Here, spend three days on unique tours by boat, bike and on foot, getting to know the island like a local rather than a tourist.

Arrival Day

Land in Skiathos airport and meet your driver, who will transfer you to Skiathos port to catch a ferry to Alonnisos.

The ferry take between one and a half and two hours , and once you arrive in Alonnisos, you’ll be taken to your hotel where you can refresh, relax and get ready for two weeks of Greek island adventures.

Explore the Beautiful Coast

In the morning, transfer to Alonnisos port in order to start your boat excursion. Today, you’ll get well and truly off the tourist trail and explore the hidden beaches and caves of this gorgeous coastline, with as much swim or dive time as you want.

Over the day, you’ll visit Patitiri, the capital town of the island of Alonnisos, located on the southern part of the island, and Kyra Panagia, a beach which has belonged to the Athonite monastery of Megisti Lavra since it was granted to the island by the Byzantine emperor Nikephoros II Phokas in 966.

Discover the ‘Blue Cave’ as you explore the wild and rocky coastline of Alonissos island, blessed with many small, magical caves with deep-blue waters that will blow you away.

The Blue Cave is on the northeastern side of Alonissos, between the remote beaches of Strovili and Lalarias, here the waters are so clear that the rocks around are reflected like in a mirror.

At the end of this wonderful day, you’ll be transferred back to Alonissos.

Free Day

On your third and fourth days, explore the island of Alonnisos at your own pace.

This green emerald of an island hides stunning beaches and untouched little villages for you to explore, and your guide will be more than happy to provide recommendations of what to do, where to go, and where to eat and drink.

Alonissos to Skopelos

In the morning you will be transferred from your hotel to Alonnisos port for your ferry to Skopelos Island. The journey is only around 30 minutes, and on arrival there, you will be met and transferred to your hotel.

Relax and enjoy a free afternoon and evening either exploring the town or simply chilling at the hotel.

Private Boat Tour around Skopelos

This morning, you will be collected and taken to Skopelos port for your unique day trip. Enjoy the experience of the crystal-clear waters of the Aegean Sea with an experienced captain, a truly local experience that gives you real insight into local culture in the Greek islands.

The cruise will take place from around 10am until 6pm and visit the best beaches for swimming in Skopelos Milia, Stafilos, Limnonari and some small wonderful and secret beaches and caves which are accessible only by boat. You will also visit the spots that “Mamma Mia” took place at Agios Ioannis chapel, Kastani and
Amarantos.

Lunch stop will be at your preference and the Captain will make some recommendation at Agnontas, Panormos or Neo Klima. After the trip, you will be transferred back to your hotel.

Free Days

On your seventh and eighth days, explore the island of Skopelos at your own pace. Famously the greenest island in Greece, Skopelos is also one of the most beautiful and it will be  treat to discover independently, at your own pace for a couple of days.

Your guide will be more than happy to provide recommendations of what to do, where to go, and where to eat and drink.

Skopelos to Skiathos

After breakfast you will be met at your hotel and transferred to Skopelos port for your ferry to Skiathos.

The ferry takes about 30 minutes and on arrival you will be met and taken to your hotel where you can relax and prepare for three magical days of activities on the island.

Round the Island of Skiathos

This morning you will be transferred from your hotel to the old port of Skiathos in order to depart at 10am on a shared boat tour around the island.

You will make three stops for swimming and to visit the islands wonderful sandy beaches, the first will be at the famous Lalaria beach, which is accessible only by boat and remains a stunning unspoilt place.

Then there will be a chance to swim or to visit the rocky peninsula of Skiathos Old Town, “Kastro”.

Then at lunch time there will be time to go ashore at the beach of Aselinos or at Katigiorgis in Pelion, for swimming or to get some lunch at one of the beachside tavernas.

You will return to Skiathos port at around 5pm, and head back to your hotel.

Jeep Safari Tour

This morning, you will be collected from your hotel to the starting point of your Jeep Safari tour around the Island.

Unveil the secrets of the Aegean paradise of Skiathos. An amazing 60kms route to explore the island and witness the hidden beauty of nature that can only be found at the Sporades Islands. Driving through the spectacular nature, the route will not let up with the asphalt giving its place to dirt road.

The Monastery of Evangelistria is the first stop of your journey. In the newly renovated monastery you can see a functioning distillery that produces wine and “tsipouro”  that are not available anywhere else in the world. After leaving the monastery your second stop will be at the Kastro (Castle) at the old city of Skiathos. The castle gives you a glance at the lives of the locals of the 13th and 14th century. The castle gave protection to the town when attacked by pirates that used to rule the Aegean Sea surrounding the Sporades islands.

You will drive through the forest-like wilderness on your way to Kechria beach where you’ll have a chance for a swim and for a spot of lunch at the beach taverna (lunch not included).

As you head to the western part of the Island will pass the Monastery of Kounistra and go to the “postcard-picture” bay of Elias. On the way you will pass the beautiful Mandraki beach famous for its golden and glittering sand. With the final drive through the famous Mandraki forest you will begin your return and the trip will end at approximately 6pm.

Private Walking Tour of Skiathos

Today you will start your walking tour from the hotel and head into Skiathos town, where you’ll find most of the island’s buzzing life and local atmosphere.

It’s filled with shops, bars and cafes, as well as restaurants and tavernas where you’ll find some of the very best authentic Greek food in all of Skiathos. You will stroll along the waterfront (including the Old and New Port and the Bourtzi peninsula) which is a special experience, but you’ll also adore exploring the maze of alleyways of tightly packed whitewashed houses. Your guide will tell you all about the history, language, culture and food of the island they will introduce you to local crafts people and tradesmen and let you in on local secrets. They will show you the oldest souvlaki stand, their favourite bakery an the best place for a traditional greek coffee!

It feels like every time you turn a corner, you’ll find another adorable little spot or a bougainvillea-filled courtyard. At the end of your tour, you’ll be dropped off in a convenient place in town.

Location

The Sporades Archipelago is situated off the east coast of mainland Greece, and is known for its stunning blue waters, wooded hillsides and great beaches and coastal diving.

Fly into Skiathos airport, where you’ll be picked up and transferred to your first ferry to Alonissos. You’ll stay on Alonissos for four nights, before ferrying to Skopelos to the west for your next four.

You will then leave for Skiathos, and spend six nights here, finally being transferred back to the airport for your return flight.
