From the unique Acropolis & the Parthenon and the buzzling streets of Athens to the charming island of Kythnos known for it’ beaches and Lavrio to experience authentic Greek island. 

During your stay in Athens your guide will lead you off the beaten track through small alleys to an island settlement in the heart of the town, here, small houses were built by workers from Anafi island who built their new neighbourhood to resemble their island! Enjoy a street food tour with a local guide. 

Immersive yourself in life on the island of Kythnos by kayaking in the crystal clear waters, relax on the beach in the Greek sun with a refreshing drink and engage in a local pottery class.

Lastly, discover the island of Lavrio by wandering through the small village absorbing the atmosphere of the locals.

Arrival in Athens

Upon arrival in Athens, you will be greeted by your guide who will take you on a guided city tour of Athens.

Step into the heart of Athens with a guided Acropolis tour, hear stories of gods, heroes, and ancient empires, where marble ruins meet sky-high views over the city.

Afterwards wander through the timeless lanes of Plaka and the Old Athenian neighborhoods which is packed with cosy cafés, colorful houses, and that unmistakable Greek vibe.

This evening enjoy at your leisure.

Piraeus street food tour with lunch

After breakfast you will be transferred to Piraeus Port to meet your local guide for your food tour.

You will stop at different culinary stations where you will have the opportunity to taste multiple savoury and sweet delicacies. During the walk, your guide will share stories about many well-known historical and cultural points of interest.

A highlight of the tour will take you to the city’s Open Market, which will have your taste buds tingling and give you a chance to try some local produce, whilst strolling around these picturesque pedestrian streets to get the city vibe.

Every small street tells a story for the urban scene and the culture cultivated here. For example, Rebetiko, a unique Greek music genre, originates from this particular area and the original inhabitants, the urban working-class communities of Piraeus.

Strolling towards the second part of the tour you will encounter the beautiful seaside of Piraeus, walking next to the coastline where you will taste some seafood mezze or traditionally cooked options.

You will return to the hotel in the early afternoon and the evening is free to enjoy as you wish.

Athens to Kythnos

This morning after breakfast once you have checked out of your hotel you will be transferred to the ferry port to catch the ferry to Kythnos Island.

On arrival you will be met and transferred to your accommodation, where you will stay for the next four nights.

Free Day

Today is a free day to relax, enjoy the beach or explore the island at your own pace.

Kythnos Pottery Class

After breakfast, you will meet your local guide and head to the heart of the island to visit a renowned pottery studio.

Here, you’ll have the chance to explore a beautiful collection of handcrafted ceramics and learn about the island’s rich pottery tradition.

Enjoy a hands-on experience working with clay, guided by a local expert, and discover traditional techniques and stories behind this ancient art form.

Enjoy the rest of the day at leisure.

Kayak Tour

After breakfast you will meet your guide for your kayaking guide to enjoy a day while exploring beautiful beaches, bays and islands.

Throughout the day you will have the opportunity to explore sea caves, small coves and visit a small deserted Cycladic chapel on the cliffs.

You will stop at the beach to enjoy a leisurely lunch with local fresh produce there will also be time to relax, swim and snorkel before paddling back after an adventurous day.

Kythons to Lavrio

After breakfast you will be transferred to the ferry port where you will catch the ferry to your next destination, Lavrio, on arrival you will be met and transferred to your overnight accommodation.

Enjoy walking through this historic village.

This evening why not try dinner at one of the small traditional meze eating places within the open market.

After breakfast you will be transferred back to Athens Airport for your return flight home.

Maisonettes are the perfect choice for families who are looking for a spacious room with a marvelous sea view. They also include a kitchenette, flat TV, refrigerator and air-conditioning.

Lavrio: Nikolakakis Rooms Lavrio (or similar)

Nikolakakis Rooms Lavrio is located in the centre of Lavrion.

Rooms include a kitchenette which have a coffee/tea making facilities, microwave and refrigerator.
