This immersive Arctic escape combines the very best of Lapland's winter experiences with the comfort of a unique glass-roofed igloo. Designed for travellers seeking adventure as well as relaxation, it brings together wildlife encounters, wilderness exploration and unforgettable Northern Lights experiences.

Each day introduces a different side of Lapland. You will glide through snowy forests behind a team of eager huskies, travel silently through winter landscapes on snowshoes and discover the traditional way of life that has shaped this remote region for generations.

As darkness falls, the Arctic becomes even more magical. Far from city lights, you will venture into the wilderness in search of the Aurora Borealis, gathering around a fire beneath vast northern skies while learning about local traditions and nature.

A visit to a traditional reindeer farm offers a slower pace and a deeper connection to Lapland’s cultural heritage. Meanwhile, a thrilling snowmobile safari provides the opportunity to venture further into the snow-covered landscape and experience how locals have travelled across these frozen environments for decades.

At the end of each day, return to the comfort of your glass-roofed igloo. Wrapped in warmth and surrounded by peaceful forest scenery, it is the perfect place to reflect on your Arctic adventures and perhaps watch for the Northern Lights from the comfort of your bed.

The remainder of the day is free to relax, enjoy the facilities or visit nearby Santa Claus Village. Dinner is included this evening.

As darkness falls, spend your first night beneath the glass roof, keeping watch for stars, moonlight and perhaps even the Northern Lights overhead.

Explore at Your Own Pace and Northern Lights Wilderness Adventure

After breakfast, enjoy a free day to experience Lapland your way. You may choose to spend time exploring Santa Claus Village, just a short walk from your glass igloo, where you can meet Santa Claus, visit the famous Santa’s Post Office, browse local handicrafts and enjoy the festive atmosphere of the Arctic Circle.

Alternatively, you may wish to enhance your stay with one of our optional excursions. Venture onto a frozen lake for an ice fishing experience, explore the snowy wilderness on a guided snowshoeing adventure, or discover the traditional Finnish way of travelling through winter landscapes on a ski trekking safari.

Return to your accommodation during the afternoon to relax and prepare for the evening ahead. Dinner is included at your hotel.

This evening, join a small-group Northern Lights wilderness adventure. Travelling away from artificial light, you will visit carefully selected locations in search of the Aurora Borealis. Along the way, you will spend time around an open fire, enjoy hot drinks and local snacks, and learn about Lapland’s wildlife, traditions and the science behind the northern lights.

The experience lasts approximately four hours and offers some of the best opportunities to witness one of nature’s most spectacular displays beneath the dark Arctic sky.

Snowshoeing and Reindeer Safari

After breakfast, head into the wilderness on a guided snowshoeing adventure. Moving at a relaxed pace, you will explore snow-covered forests, discover hidden trails and experience the peaceful beauty of the Arctic landscape.

Snowshoeing is one of the most traditional ways to travel through deep snow, allowing you to venture into areas inaccessible by ordinary walking.

Later in the day, visit a traditional reindeer farm where you will learn about reindeer husbandry and its importance to life in Lapland. Meet the animals and gain insight into the culture and traditions of the region.

You will then enjoy a reindeer sleigh ride through the snowy Taiga forest, gliding peacefully through the winter landscape before returning to your accommodation for dinner.

Husky Safari and Snowmobile Adventure

Today combines two of Lapland’s most exciting winter experiences.

In the morning, travel to a local husky kennel where you will meet the enthusiastic dogs before setting off on a memorable safari through snowy forest trails. The experience includes time to learn about the dogs, their training and the life of a musher.

Later, continue your Arctic adventure with a snowmobile safari. Following a safety briefing, you will head out across snow-covered terrain, travelling through forests and open winter landscapes. The route offers spectacular scenery and a wonderful sense of freedom as you explore beyond the main tourist areas.

Returning to your igloo for your final evening, enjoy dinner and reflect on an unforgettable collection of Arctic experiences.

Departure

Enjoy your final breakfast in Lapland before checking out of your accommodation.

Depending on your flight time, there may be an opportunity for one final walk through the snowy surroundings before your transfer arrives.

You will then be transferred to Rovaniemi Airport for your journey home, taking with you memories of huskies, reindeer, snowy forests and the magic of the Arctic Circle.
