Set along the edge of the Raudanjoki River, this 4 night family escape invites you into a world where Arctic wilderness and quiet comfort blend seamlessly.

Your cabin, tucked beneath the shelter of tall pines, becomes a warm sanctuary for shared moments — windows opening onto snow-dusted forest, soft light filling the evenings, and the soothing flow of the river forming the backdrop to each night. With an extra day to settle in, your family has the rare luxury of time: time to slow down, to explore, and to simply be together.

Adventure takes on a richer rhythm over four nights. You journey through deep winter forest on a husky safari, follow snowmobile routes across frozen landscapes, and wander the trails of the Arctic Circle Hiking Area, where rivers, viewpoints, and quiet woodland paths reveal the region’s diverse and ever-changing nature. Optional moments of wonder await too — from a magical Santa Experience that brings Lapland’s stories to life for younger travellers, to the gentle stillness of ice fishing, a peaceful pause in the heart of winter.

At the centre of your stay, Niva Restaurant offers a dining experience shaped by firelight, local ingredients, and warm northern hospitality. Long, unhurried breakfasts ease you into each day, while slow, glowing dinners become moments to reconnect, reflect, and share stories from the trail.

As nights fall, you step back into the quiet Arctic air, gathering as a family beneath the stars in search of the Northern Lights. When the sky begins to shimmer and dance, you witness it together — a shared memory that feels all the more special with the gift of extra time to savour it.

*Based on per person, for family of 4 travelling end of November – 15th Dec in a Aurora Cabin.

Arrival Day

Your adventure begins when your private transfer meets you at Rovaniemi Airport to take you directly to your Lapland accommodation. Arrive at your Panorama Hut or Riverside Apartment, unpack and settle in to your surroundings.

Depending on how early you arrive, take some time to explore the site and the snowy forest, or simply relax and refresh after your journey before your evening meal at the site restaurant.

Explore the Wilderness by Husky Sled

On your first full day in the arctic wilderness, wake up to views of the still, snow-covered forest and fuel yourself up for your first adventure with a hearty breakfast at the restaurant.

Then, meet your guide for an unforgettable journey through this beautiful landscape of frozen rivers and vast fells behind a team of endlessly energetic huskies.

The locals in this region have been using dog sleds as a means of transport for millennia, so not only is this an opportunity to meet some incredibly cute huskies and explore the area, but it also gives you a taste of some authentic Lappish culture.

Spend the rest of your time exploring the site or simply relaxing in your panorama cabin, before settling in for a night of keeping an eye on the perfectly dark sky in wait for the aurora borealis.

Reindeer Experience and Sleigh Ride

Today, your day will centre around an animal that has played an absolutely central part in the lives of the locals for as long as humans have settled in Lapland.

Settle back in a sleigh as these gentle animals take you on a journey through the snow-covered trees, before enjoying a hot drink in a teepee where you’ll learn all there is to know about reindeer and how they are so important to the Lappish people.

The rest of the day is yours to enjoy.

Snowmobile Adventure

On your final full day in Lapland, get a good breakfast in to fuel yourself up for a thrilling day exploring the wilderness by snowmobile.

Enjoy the thrill of speeding across snow covered fells and crashing through snow drifts as you follow your expert guide off the beaten track and into the heart of aurora country.

After a few breaks for a hot drink and for a chance to snap some pictures, head back to the resort for a final afternoon of relaxation your last night of watching for the Northern Lights.

Departure Day

Wake up on your final morning to views of the snowy forest, then enjoy a final breakfast before checking out of your accommodation.

We hope that you have had an unforgettable few days with us in Lapland, and leave with precious memories of this once-in-a-lifetime destination.
