Husky Safari

After breakfast, prepare for an unforgettable husky safari. Visit a local husky farm, meet the enthusiastic sled dogs, and learn the basics of mushing before setting off on a 10 km journey through the snowy wilderness. The sleds are for two people, one will mush and the other will sit in the sleigh covered by blankets to keep cosy and warm, half way round you can swap over if you wish. Feel the thrill as you guide your own team of huskies through the breathtaking Arctic landscape, and afterwards meet the dogs and give them a rewarding tummy rub!

The afternoon is free for you to explore more of the winter wonderland. You may choose to try tobogganing or fat tyre biking.  Alternatively, relax at the resort and enjoy the tranquil atmosphere before dinner is served.

Reindeer & Santa

Begin your day with breakfast before heading to a traditional reindeer farm. Meet the reindeer, have photographs and perhaps feed them some of their favourite lichen. Here, you will learn about the deep connection between the Sámi people and their reindeer, followed by a peaceful sleigh ride through the snow-covered forest. Afterwards, enjoy a warming soup lunch while listening to stories of the reindeer herding culture.

The afternoon is for Santa!

Hidden deep within a snow-covered forest, a warm wooden hut glows softly between the trees.

Each family is welcomed into Santa’s world in rotation, ensuring a private 5–10 minute meeting filled with genuine conversation, laughter and festive wonder. With advance details shared — names, hobbies, little milestones — Santa brings each encounter to life in a way that feels truly individual. Letters and small personal gifts can also be delivered with prior arrangement, adding another layer of magic.

While waiting for their turn, families step into an outdoor winter playground hosted by Santa’s elves. Children can race down gentle toboggan slopes, build snowmen, make snow angels, play hide and seek or claim victory as “king of the snow pile.” There may also be a light-hearted Arctic nature moment, where little explorers learn to spot animal tracks or recognise local trees. Meanwhile, adults can relax with warm drinks in the crisp forest air, soaking up the festive atmosphere around an outdoor bonfire. A traditional kota shelter will also be available, offering a cosy place to relax

This is not a queue, not a stage set, but a carefully curated, small-group experience designed to feel personal from the very first step. With limited group sizes and a thoughtful flow to the experience, this is a Santa visit designed to feel authentic, intimate and truly memorable — a moment that lingers long after the snow has melted.

What is the Smoke Sauna Experience?

The smoke sauna is a traditional Finnish sauna experience and an integral part of life in Lapland. At this resort, the lakeside smoke sauna is included in your stay, offering guests the opportunity to enjoy an authentic and restorative ritual in a beautiful natural setting.

Unlike a conventional sauna, a smoke sauna is heated by a wood-burning stove without a chimney. Once the fire has burned down and the smoke is ventilated, the sauna retains a deep, gentle heat and a distinctive aroma. It offers a softer, more traditional experience that many consider the heart of Finnish wellbeing culture.

The lakeside location allows guests to cool off between sauna rounds. Seasonal conditions apply, and safety guidance will be provided by our team.

How does the sauna schedule work?

The smoke sauna operates with scheduled general sessions. Separate time slots are allocated for ladies and gentlemen to ensure comfort and privacy.

Session times will be shared with you during your stay. We recommend confirming your preferred session time with reception to secure your place.

Can we book the sauna privately?

Yes. Private options are available:

The lakeside smoke sauna can be reserved for exclusive use.
The main lodge sauna complex can be privately booked, with tailored service packages available upon request.
