This 3 night Arctic package at Nangu is the perfect blend of adventure, wildlife encounters, and Northern Lights magic. Nestled on the edge of Lake Inari, far from artificial light, Nangu provides one of Lapland’s most atmospheric settings for an unforgettable winter escape.

Each day brings a new adventure: the sheer thrill of husky sledding through frozen forests, the serene experience of meeting reindeer and learning about Sámi traditions, and the adrenaline rush of snowmobiling across the snowy wilderness. You’ll gain a deep connection with both the Arctic landscape and its culture, while enjoying comfort and warmth in between.

By night, the focus turns to the skies. With two different aurora excursions, you’ll maximise your chances of witnessing the magical Northern Lights. Whether warming by a fire at a secluded camp or quietly snowshoeing through a moonlit forest, the stillness of Lapland and the possibility of auroral displays create an atmosphere you will remember for a lifetime.

With full board dining, expert guiding, and high-quality winter clothing provided, this is an effortlessly immersive Arctic holiday. It allows you to truly disconnect, step into nature, and soak up the best of Lapland in just a few days.

From the first moment you step outside into the silence of the frozen wilderness to the last shimmering Aurora display, offers an experience that stays with you long after you’ve returned home.

A full example itinerary is detailed below, activity timings can differ slightly, your own personal schedule will be given to you upon check in.

Arrival

Touch down at Ivalo Airport, where a short, scenic 30-minute transfer awaits to take you to the heart of the Arctic wilderness at Nangu. Upon arrival, enjoy a warm, welcoming dinner to start your adventure, then settle into your cosy accommodations as you prepare for the days of Arctic magic ahead.

Snowmobile Safari & Aurora Snowshoeing

Today brings a mix of adrenaline and tranquillity. Begin with a Snowmobile Safari. After a full safety briefing and introduction, you’ll set off two by two to explore the surrounding wilderness. Ride across frozen lakes and through snow-clad forests, feeling the thrill of the machine and the beauty of the landscape.

After dinner, the pace slows for a magical Aurora Snowshoeing excursion. Equipped with snowshoes, you’ll head out into the peaceful night, following your guide across glistening snowfields under the moonlight. The silence of the forest is broken only by the crunch of snow underfoot and your guide’s stories of Lapland’s nature and folklore. Gather around a campfire for warm drinks while keeping watch for the Northern Lights shimmering overhead.

Husky & Reindeer Adventure & Aurora Camp

Today, experience the spirit of Lapland’s culture and wildlife as you journey to a nearby Sámi village. Your day begins with an enchanting encounter with reindeer, learning about their life cycles, habits, and their deep connection to the Sámi people. Step into the reindeer enclosure, where these gentle animals may even feed from your hand, creating a bond with the unique creatures of the Arctic.

Next, it’s time for the Husky Safari—a true Lapland highlight. After expert instruction, embark on a thrilling husky-sledding adventure. Pulled by enthusiastic huskies, your sled glides through the sparkling, wintery scenery, from snow-blanketed forests to the frozen expanse of Lake Inari. The dogs’ excitement is contagious, and as they fall silent along the trails, you’ll feel the quiet wonder of Lapland unfold around you. Lunch is served during the day, adding to the warmth of this magical experience.

In the evening, you’ll set off by sleigh to a secluded Aurora Camp. Pulled by your guide’s snowmobile, the journey itself feels magical as you glide through the darkened forest. At camp, gather by the fire with hot drinks in hand while you scan the skies for the Northern Lights. The remote location gives you excellent chances to see them in all their glory.

After a hearty breakfast, it’s time to bid farewell to Nangu and the enchanting wilderness of Lapland. A short transfer back to Ivalo Airport marks the end of your Arctic adventure, leaving you with memories of winter magic and the quiet beauty of Finland’s Lapland.
