Finally, four days that are focused entirely around you. You’ll both receive private use of the sauna and spa, enjoy a relaxing massage, and cut out any hassle with fully-included, private transfers. Dine on traditional Finnish cuisine, using ingredients fresh from the stunning countryside, by a roaring open fire in the perfectly silent, snow-dusted forest.

And, of course, unwind in your accommodation for two, a Sky View Suite, with panoramic window allowing you spectacular views of the night sky, scattered with stars, and of the otherworldly northern lights.

The daytime adventures include breathtaking arctic nature experiences and Lapland adventures; an exhilarating snowmobile safari and a reindeer sledge ride with a small group. The package also contains two special private activities specially designed for couples. The first is a snowshoeing expedition at night, allowing you to immerse yourselves in the tranquil beauty of the snowy surroundings.

The second private activity is a dinner that goes beyond your average date night. We’ll take you on a journey up the beautiful, wide-open fells in a heated sleigh, then, a 3-course dinner – complete with sparkling wine – will be set for you by an open fire as you wait for the northern lights to appear.

The schedule is planned so that you will have plenty of time for yourselves. You could go to visit the Ski resort nearby, book other activities, enjoy Pyhä nightlife or explore Lapland’s surrounding nature on your own. Or, simply relax in the Sky View Suite – the time on your northern lights holiday in Finland is yours to enjoy and you can do whatever you and your partner wish.

After a day of arctic adventures, wrap up in a blanket under the Milky Way and the North Star, and watch as the tongues of flame that constitute the northern lights dance across the pure, clear skies.

Welcome to Wilderness

We’ll pick you up directly from Rovaniemi airport, and transfer you deep into the untouched, pristine Lappish wilderness to the Northern Lights Village.

We’ll show you to your home for the weekend, your cosy, warm cabin nestled in the Arctic forest and the snow-covered fir trees.

With any luck, on your very first night you’ll get to witness what you came for – the spectacular Northern Lights. Gaze in awe as the ethereal ribbons of light whisper their way through the atmosphere, then head back for your and watch them during your first evening in your luxurious, glass-roofed Sky View Suite.

Explore Lapland's Beauty - Then Unwind

The morning excursion for day two of your romantic trip to the far north will take you deep into the snowy fells and forests, as you saddle up for a 4-hour snowmobile ride.

Explore the true back-of-beyond, on an exhilarating journey through stunning natural beauty, and return feeling satisfied and wearied after a morning of activity.

The perfect remedy for any tired, cold bones? An aroma or hot stone massage to soothe any aches or pains, and melt into true relaxation in this tranquil, isolated part of the world.

This evening you will embark on your Aurora Expedition on Snowshoes. In the quiet forest, the only sound comes from the crunching snow as you walk over the snowdrifts that can get up to one-meter-thick in your snowshoes past the trees bent under the snow. The slumbering forest is lit only by the moon and the millions of stars. You feel connected to the ancient nature. A cosy hut is waiting for you to build a fire and enjoy some snacks and warm drinks while you wait for the Northern Lights to flare up. With any luck, you get to be witness to a magnificent show as the waving Northern Lights expand across the universe.

Northern Lights Village

The Sky View Suite at the Northern Lights Village are a magical way to experience the wintry star-filled sky and the Northern Lights, while lying comfortably in the warm bed. The glass-roof opens up into the northern sky, directly above the bed.

Get Out into Nature

Meet the animals that are so central to the landscape, and so vital to the survival of the indigenous population, then hiss through the pine forest in a sleigh pulled by the gentle beasts.

Then, that evening, it’s a different kind of journey, as the two of you are taken deep into the wilderness, pulled by a snowmobile, to hunker down in a heated sleigh and take in the incredible spectacle of the Northern Lights, surrounded by nature.

Your Magical Weekend Complete

Wake up on your final morning here, hopefully blown away by the natural spectacle you witnessed last night.

Feeling rejuvenated and refreshed by the pure air, the time spent in nature and the extreme comfort you’ve enjoyed, head for a final breakfast.

Your stay sadly comes to an end at this point, and we’ll transfer you straight back to the airport.

Location Information

Northern Lights Village is located deep in the quiet wilderness of the Lapland region, 100km from Rovaniemi and 150km from the centre of Levi.

The transfer time from Rovaniemi is around an hour and a half drive.

North of the Arctic Circle, the area you’ll be staying in is a vast expanse of pristine pine forest that is home to bears, golden eagles, wolverines, and thousands of reindeer.

The restaurant, saunas, snowmobile tracks and toboggan areas are all right in the village, along with cosy cabins with electric fires. The resort is surrounded by uninhabited fells and forests.

FAQs

Trips run in the winter season from around November to late April.

Thermal clothing is provided to guests staying at the host resort throughout their stay. Participants staying in other resorts, are offered thermal clothing for the duration of the experience. Other equipment, such as skis and snowshoes are to be returned after the end of every activity.

Upon check in at your resort you will be given your full schedule of exciting activities.

Yes! You will be alerted via the in-cabin tablet (you can also turn this off).

Yes! WiFi is a complimentary service of the Northern Lights Village and is available everywhere at the resort, with speeds of up to 100 Mbp/s and no data limits.

Pyhä is located under 10min drive away. It has approximately 10 bars and restaurants as well as Ski slopes. The resort does operate a return shuttle service.

The Ski resort at Pyhä has 15 slopes, 9 elevators. Slopes open from 10:30-17:00. Ski hire and passes are available direct with Pyhä Ski Resort.

Your package includes return, shared transfers from Rovaniemi Airport which is 1hr 30min from the resort. Kittilä (2hrs) and Ivalo (2hr 30min) airport transfers can be accommodated but at an additional supplement. Please let us know if you require these options.
