What You'll Do

Undock from the bustle and heat of Barcelona's streets, and cruise serenely along the beautiful coastline to the charming, winemaking landscape of Alella, avoiding the crowds whilst visiting one of the most iconic wine-growing regions on earth.

Picking you up from near the Barcelona marina, we’ll embark on an exclusive sailing experience aboard a luxury sailboat, heading for one of the oldest wine regions in Spain, to visit a family-run winery for a supreme wine tasting experience.

As we travel along the coast, you’ll soak in the views of the Barcelona skyline, experiencing these famous landmarks in a totally unique way.

After a truly relaxing sailing experience, we’ll arrive at Alella harbour and a private transfer will take you through the picturesque countryside to a centuries-old winery.

Here, expert sommeliers will welcome you to this authentic, family-run winery and show you around this beautiful 14th-century farmhouse, nestled in between rolling hills of vineyards and the sapphire-blue Mediterranean sea.

Stroll lazily through these beautiful, sun-dappled vineyards that have been growing for over 25 years, through the practice of both organic and modern techniques.

The wines of Alella have a long and significant history in the region, and in the history of wine in Catalonia. In the Middle Ages, Alella was responsible for the production of the best quality wines exported from Catalonia throughout the world, especially to overseas colonies with large populations of Catalans.

After a relaxing morning of sailing and tasting wines, you will be taken back to Barcelona by a private bus.

PLEASE NOTE THESE ARE PREMIUM SMALL GROUP TOURS.  PRIVATE TOURS CAN BE ACCOMMODATED ON REQUEST.

When it comes to travel and favourite places, his philosophy is 'it’s not about the place, it’s about the experience'. Ignasi does have a few favourite places though... one being his hometown of Barcelona. He has fond memories of Barcelona and would encourage anyone who visits to get lost walking in the streets - definitely the best way to discover the city. His other favourite place is Sri Lanka, having visited recently and loving that parts of the island are still virgin to mass tourism. Ignasi and his fabulous team make sure to only offer tours in small groups so that everyone’s experience is more personal. They don’t use umbrellas or microphones but instead make sure that they get to know the guests and show them the way of the local - not just the main tourist attractions. They also strive to do things differently by using more exciting ways to explore like using premium electric bikes or even offering helicopter and hot air balloon rides. The team are experienced local advisors -not large corporate tour operators. They can't wait for you to experience their city with them from a local perspective!

To see Barcelona from another point of view in the sailing to Alella was my favorite part. Nevertheless, the vineyards and the winery was the perfect closure to the experience. I recommend this tour!
