Arrival Day
After arriving in Ljubljana airport, you will be privately transferred to Bled where you can check in at your hotel. The rest of the day can be spent at your leisure.
Bled is famous for its blue-green alpine lake with a picturesque church on the island, as well as a medieval castle clinging to a rocky cliff. Bled also has some of the highest peaks of the Julian Alps and the Karavanke as backdrops.
Walk around the lake for the rest of your day, taking approximately 1 hour to walk around the entire lake. This is one of the most popular walks in Slovenia and for good reason!
Visit Vintgar Gorge, one of the most visited natural landmarks in all of Slovenia. The area around the gorge belongs to the famous Triglav National Park, and the gorge is carved out by the Radovna river.
Take a Pletna (traditional wooden boat) boat ride to the island on Lake Bled. Once you arrive, climb the 99 stone steps to reach the Assumption of Mary Church, where you can listen to the church bell ring. You will also have the chance to ring it yourself – and legend has it that this will make a wish come true!
After your day of exploring Bled, return to the sanctuary of your hotel for a relaxing evening.
