Enjoy a tour of the Douro Valley where you will not only be able to taste the local wines and have an incredible authentic lunch but you will also get to experience the stunning views on your 2 hour cruise down the Douro River.

You will be picked up from your hotel or accommodation in the city of Porto. Your guide, a dedicated professional will introduce themselves and then you will start the journey towards Douro Valley.

You will be visiting one small local winery, where you will be in the company of an expert local guide who will tell you more about the wine making process as you taste their selected wines.

By lunch time we stop in the village of Pinhão, a small historical village in the heart of Douro Valley, where lunch takes place at a traditional local restaurant, a place where you can try a traditional Portuguese meal that you we’re sure you’ll enjoy! Dishes may include a meal of fish, meat or vegetarian (we can also accommodate your meal if you have a gluten free diet – just let us know in advance any diet restrictions that you may have).

Right after lunch it’s time for the most exciting activity of the day for avid landscape lovers: a 2hr river cruise from Pinhão! Use this time to enjoy the views and relax with the currents of the Douro River.

We’ll stop to make small stops for taking pictures and admire the surroundings and nature at local viewpoints during the day. 

You will be dropped off at your accommodation in Porto close to 5:30pm, having had a unique memorable experience!
