This full day excursion to inland Yucatan shows off the very best of the peninsula. Discover ancient archaeological sites, traditional Mayan ceremonies and culture, explore stunning nature reserves by canoe and spot spider monkeys, swim in azure blue cenotes and sit down for a meal with a Mayan family on an action packed day.
Your day begins when you’re picked up from Tulum and driven out to Cobá, an ancient city deep in the jungle of the Yucatan. You’ll explore the beautiful Mayan ruins by bike, before moving to your next destination – the Punta Laguna Nature Reserve.
Here, enjoy hiking in the jungle on the hunt for spider monkeys, go for a canoe on the deep blue lagoon, zip line your way back across it, and participate in the spectacle of a traditional Mayan ceremony.
Once you leave Punta Laguna, you’ll head for a cenote where you can relax and enjoy a refreshing swim, before sitting down for a traditionally prepared meal of truly authentic Mayan cuisine with a Mayan family.
An eco-tour to remember, the experience finishes when you are dropped off back in Tulum at the end of an unforgettable day.
