Our journey starts from the biggest pedestrian street of Athens, located a stone’s throw away from the Acropolis, where you will have a short introduction about the tour’s schedule.
Equipped with an excellent condition bike for a relaxed and enjoyable tour, we will begin the exploration of the city, passing by the new Acropolis Museum. Your tour leader will give you some useful tips about visiting the Acropolis Hill and the Parthenon.
During the tour, we will make stops at all the main highlights of the Historic centre of Athens: the Ancient Greek cemetery (Kerameikos), Thission neighborhood, the Ancient Greek Agora, the Roman Agora and the Athens’ Orthodox Cathedral.
During our 20-minute break, you will have the chance to taste a traditional Greek dessert or a refreshment/coffee (according to the season) and relax for a while.
We will visit the scenic neighbourhood of Plaka and pass by the local market for souvenirs and small gifts. Next, we will ride through the maze of the National Gardens, the best place to enjoy nice and shady trails.
Then, it’s time to cycle towards the Presidential Mansion and get impressed by the ceremonial unit of the Presidential Guards. The trip through charming Athens will be continued with a short visit to the Panathenaic Stadium, where the first modern Olympic Games took place, and to Zappeion Hall, a magnificent Neoclassical building.
