What you'll do

Stay in this quirky, unique shepherds hut accommodation in Skipton, North Yorkshire, right on the edge of the beautiful Yorkshire Dales National Park.

Cosy without feeling confined and intelligently laid out to make the most of the space it occupies, this shepherds hut is the perfect retreat for a couple that want to spend some time exploring the magnificent Yorkshire Dales, or just want to relax in a beautiful setting far from the rush of urban life.

Located just on the edge of Skipton, there are plenty of pubs, restaurants and cafes within walking distance, and popular destinations like Malham, Grassington and Appletreewick all within easy reach.

The Shepherd’s Hut is charmingly quaint and within the spacious interior of this unique accommodation, you’ll find a stunning, modern and clean en-suite shower room, a fully equipped kitchen that includes a fridge, hob, oven, kettle, toaster and of course a kitchen sink.

There’s also a log burner for those chilly winter nights, and although the summer might be the most obvious time to visit, there is something about lighting up a log fire as snow settles outside your cosy hut that we think just can’t be beaten.

My wife and I bought and renovated The Bailey in 2017. We have lived in the area for more than 20 years and know all the best pubs, walks, tourist attractions, restaurants etc.

We have gone to great lengths to make sure our guests have a very comfortable and enjoyable stay, as evidenced by our wonderful reviews. Our accommodation options are finished to the highest standard and offer 2 BnB rooms, and a luxurious Shepherd’s Hut.

Location

The bed and breakfast is located in the North Yorkshire town of Skipton, on the edges of the Yorkshire Dales which makes it an absolutely ideal base for any number of outdoor excursions.

It’s a stone’s throw from Skipton Castle, and a short walk from the town centre where you can find cosy pubs, restaurants and cafes.

Within easy reach are some of the most popular attractions in the Yorkshire Dales, including Malham, Grassington and Appletreewick.

What our travellers are saying...

Perfect! Spot on, couldn't of asked For Anymore. Hosts Were Fantastic. Will be returning again. Many thanks.

The Shepherds Hut is fantastically placed in the heart of Skipton, across from the castle and in easy walking reach of all the amenities. You could, however, be forgiven for thinking you are in your own little travelers caravan in the corner of any English field. The accommodation is perfectly sized and beautifully romantic for a couple or just a real treat for a solo traveller. Pop a log (provided for you) in the real fire for added authenticity
