Discover Spain’s exceptional wines and delicious food! On this tour you will experience authentic Spanish flavours through local dishes and wines, and explore local life through the neighbourhoods of Sant Antoni and Poble Sec, two of Barcelona’s current hot spots for restaurants and wine bars.
This wine and food journey will begin with our first stop, a local restaurant known for its beautiful presentation of tapas. Don’t be confused, though tapas are smaller dishes, these things can pack powerful flavours that we’re sure will surprise you!
To accompany the tapas, you will try a glass of Cava, the most popular sparkling wine in Spain, produced just 1 hour away from Barcelona.
Then you will walk to our second stop, a recently opened wine bar that has quickly caught the attention of every local wine lover in the area. Here, you will be introduced to the modern Spanish cuisine paired with both old and new winemaking techniques.
After this, you will be introduced to more fascinating delights of a Catalan kitchen. The story of this unique region is truly fascinating and is reflected in its food and wines. Savour the best-known Spanish red wine based on Tempranillo grapes and discover what makes it so special. As in previous stops, you will try the delicious tapas and have the perfect wine pairing while you unwind and experience true Spanish food and drink.
Our fourth stop is a special one, where the old Barcelona past blends with the present. You will continue to try various local products, matched with some of the lesser known Spanish wine regions that are just as spectacular.
After the last tasting, feel free to stay and try some more wines on your own, or leave the tour feeling satisfied and more knowledgable about Catalan food and wine.
