Our Host: Somerset Log Cabins, Lodges and Pods

England

Andrew and his son David own and manage this beautiful independent holiday farm nestled in the Somerset countryside which has been in the  family since 1927. Originally a dairy farm where Andy’s dad, Colin, milked the herd for over 50 years. Now it is home to a unique, independent holiday experience. The log cabins have been built from scratch following custom designs, and together with the glamping pods they are arranged across several acres on the edge of the Somerset Levels.

”We still keep a sheep and chickens and occasionally rear calves; small scale farming integrates well with the relaxed approach to holidaying and guests are welcome to learn more about our farming and take part if they wish.

We love our way of life here at the farm, especially meeting our guests and sharing our insider tips on the area. We support local trades and businesses, and aim to introduce our guests to local pubs, buy locally farmed foods, and to use our local baker and butcher who will deliver to the cabins, saving time and reducing the carbon footprint.

We are focussed on making our business both ethical and environmentally friendly, and support many interests to keep Somerset beautiful and sustainable.”
