Adventure Tours UK came about actually following mine and my husband’s wedding a couple of years ago. Some friends of ours came over from Denmark and whilst they were here myself and my husband took them on a tour around North Wales, took them out to do some ziplining and some nice drives through the mountains, and they were absolutely amazed by how incredible Wales was.

Experience Itinerary

Arrive in Wild Wales

You’ll be picked up from Manchester airport at 12:00 noon, or from Chester train station at 13:00 if you arrive by train. Once you’re taken to your hotel in Beaumaris, arriving around 14.30 you have the chance to get settled in, before your guide will welcome you with a briefing.

Then, the afternoon is yours to relax and explore this historic town.

At one time, Wales had over 600 castles and today 100 of those still stand, whether in ruins or restored. One of the most impressive is Beaumaris Castle with its ‘walls within walls’ design. Take the afternoon to explore this fascinating town and its magnificent castle at your own leisure. Then, check out the local pubs and restaurants in the evening.

A shared room in a boutique hotel in Beaumaris. Your specific accommodation will be confirmed closer to the date of the tour.

Explore Anglesey

Today, you’ll explore the island of Anglesey by sea and by land. In the morning you’ll head out on a RIB powerboat to discover the hidden gems tucked along this rugged coastline, and the native wildlife that calls it home. Puffins, seals and dolphins are regularly spotted along these shores.

Back on dry land, in the afternoon you’ll take to the road and travel around the island’s small villages to explore the local culture. Visit some of the many lonely, weatherbeaten many lighthouses and soak up the views of the countryside and seashore.

This evening we’ll host dinner for you and your group in a local restaurant. How better to get to know each other better than reflecting on today’s memories, while enjoying locally produced food and a few Welsh beers.

You will be staying in a boutique hotel on a shared room basis on Anglesey, to ensure you really get to know this beautiful island. The specific hotel will be revealed closer to the date of the tour.

Summit Snowdon

Snowdon mountain is the jewel in the crown of Snowdonia National Park. Standing at 1,085m, it’s the highest mountain in England and Wales. The views from its summit are spectacular on a clear day. Today is a full day of hiking to reach the peak of this majestic landmark. Enjoy the crisp, clean mountain air and soak up the stunning panoramic views.

There is a cafe at the summit providing refreshments and light meals, so you can replenish your energy before we embark on the descent back to base.

With several routes to the summit, your guide will choose the best circular option for your group and the weather on the day. With their local knowledge, you’ll experience a spectacular mountain hike, reaching the second-highest point in the whole of the UK.

You will be staying in another boutique hotel in a shared room, and the exact hotel being confirmed closer to your chosen date.

Sleep Under the Stars

Pack your bags, you’re heading inland today to begin your time in the hills and woodlands of North Wales. In the safe hands of our local expert, here you’ll learn foraging and bushcraft skills. Discover how to source delicious ingredients from the landscape around you and rediscover your inner self.

Your bushmaster guide will show you how to prepare and cook a delicious meal around an open campfire. Relax into the evening, toasting marshmallows and sharing stories with your travel-mates. Then retire to your bell tent for a cosy night of North Wales glamping under the stars.

Your accommodation for the night will be a luxurious bell tent, equipped with log burner, luxurious bedding and blankets, meaning you’ll be cosy no matter what time of year.

Each tent houses three beds, and there are clean toilet facilities, hot showers, a wood-fired sauna and a fire-pit all set amongst a beautiful, secluded landscape.

Discover Llangollen

Emerge from your cosy canvas canopy feeling back in touch with nature. After a hearty campfire breakfast, the group will have chance to try out some traditional outdoor games such as axe-throwing!

Then, our minibus will collect you from the glamping site in the late morning to take a short drive to the picturesque riverside town of Llangollen. Here we’ll have a short stop so you can explore the pretty streets of this classic North Wales town and enjoy lunch, before heading to the airport/train station.

The River Dee runs right through the heart of the town, providing perfect photo opportunities and a beautiful spot to enjoy some traditional fish and chips. Llangollen is also famous for its steam train, which still runs there today.

Hop back on the minibus and don’t forget this last chance to swap details with your new travel mates! It’ll be group hugs all round as we make drop offs at Chester train station around 3.00pm and at Manchester airport for 4.00pm.
