Adventure Tours UK came about actually following mine and my husband’s wedding a couple of years ago. Some friends of ours came over from Denmark and whilst they were here myself and my husband took them on a tour around North Wales, took them out to do some ziplining and some nice drives through the mountains, and they were absolutely amazed by how incredible Wales was.

Experience Itinerary

We’ll pick you up from Manchester airport at 12.00pm, or from Chester train station at 1.00pm if you’re arriving by train. We’ll take you to your hotel in Llangollen, arriving around 2.00pm.

Relax for the afternoon and take a stroll around Llangollen’s quaint town centre. Or, enjoy the rooftop hot tub at your hotel, which is free for guests before 6pm.

Enjoy a free evening to get ready for your adventures to begin tomorrow!

A big day of canyoning. Climb, scramble, jump and splash your way through the challenging terrain of the Trawsfynedd gorge for a fun, genuinely physically demanding experience.

This is a full day out with your group of fellow adventurers in a truly beautiful part of North Wales, as these canyons cut deep gorges into the sheer, dramatic valleys and razor-sharp ridges.

Enjoy the views as you abseil down waterfalls, leap from rocks into the river below, and scramble your way up slippery cliff faces.

In the evening, we’ll host dinner for you and your group in a local restaurant. There’s no better way to bond as a group than over a few local Welsh beers, sharing stories of the day, immersed in the satisfying weariness of an active day.

After a full day of excursions (and potentially an evening of free-flowing beers), we give you this morning free to relax, recharge, or explore on your own time.

Stroll around Llangollen, or if you’re feeling energetic, we highly recommend the hike up to Dinas Bran, a 13th Century castle perched high above the town on the site of an Iron Age hill fort.

Arrive back in town for 12:30, so that we can introduce you to the brilliantly fun sport of riverbugging. Pull on your wetsuit, jump on your bug and paddle off down the beautiful River Dee, charging headlong through sections of raging white water.

Kick back and relax as you cruise serenely down the calm sections of river, checking out the local wildlife and enjoying being well and truly out in nature, before diving back into another adrenaline-pumping section of rapids.

Pack your bags, you’re off packrafting. Your adventure tour continues with the next two days spent hiking and paddling your way from the Welsh hills to the coastal town of Beaumaris on the island of Anglesey.

With a pack-away raft on your back, along with snacks and other essentials, your guide will take you down seldom trodden routes through the beautiful Snowdonia National Park.

A long, winding journey through the heart of Snowdonia, you’ll get truly off the beaten track, away from the crowds and into the wilderness.

In the evening, relax around a crackling campfire, as we prepare and cook a delicious meal together in the great outdoors. Relax under the stars, chatting the night away with a hot chocolate under a carpet of stars, surrounded by the sounds of nature.

Retire for the night under the canvas of a bell tent that sleeps up to six people, we will provide the tent so that you don’t have to lug it all the way across North Wales. We’ll also carry your overnight bag for you, so that you can travel as light as possible on your day of trekking and paddling through the stunning Snowdonia landscape.

Time to pack your kit, enjoy a light breakfast, and start making your way home. After four days of exciting adventures and a back-to-basics night in nature, you’ll have (briefly) satisfied your inner traveller.

Our minibus will take you to our facility with access to hot showers and changing rooms so that you can enjoy luxuriating in the knowledge that you’ve spent some time really getting in touch with nature, and so that you can freshen up before your onwards journey.

Hop back on the minibus, and don’t forget this last chance to swap details with your new travel mates! It’ll be group hugs all round as we make drop-offs at Chester train station around 3.00pm and at Manchester airport for 4.00pm.
