Stay in this beautifully converted old grain barn nestled in the beautiful Welsh countryside, the perfect base for an eco-retreat in Pembrokshire that gets you far off the beaten path.
This unique accommodation was originally the old grain store on the farm, and is now a light and airy eco barn. It sleeps 6 in its 2 doubles and 1 twin room, and there’s a bathroom on each floor. If you’re looking for a short break or holiday in a beautiful rural setting with plenty of home comforts, this could be the ideal choice for you.
The Grain Store is one of our favourite choices with its stunning double-height living space. It has a large patio for BBQs and soaking up the summer rays. There’s a cosy log burner that provides the winter warmth, and the beautiful original oak beams really add character to the place.
Another great thing about this property is that 85% of the energy needed to to run it is generated on site, by way of underground geothermal heat pumps, solar hot water systems, and more besides so when staying here you can be sure you’re doing your bit for the environment.
As comforting and homely as this country retreat is, and it will tempt you to stay in and relax, when you do feel like heading out and about, there’s something for everyone here in Pembrokeshire. From dreamy days exploring coastal islands and cliffs to whale watching from Strumble Head, you’ll see exactly why this is one of the most beautiful corners of the country.
