My versatile internship at GoLearnTo
Having just graduated from University I was looking for internships in order to gain work experience. When searching through the various job websites the internship advertisement from NotInTheGuideBooksimmediately caught my eye because it was different from the others. The internship sounded ideal as I am passionate about travelling and have a strong interest in marketing for the tourism industry, so I applied and 2 weeks later I found myself in London in an office with lovely colleagues who were as passionate about all things travel as I was.
During my 3 months internship I had many different tasks and had the chance to learn new things. From doing everyday admin tasks to communicating with suppliers and guests to managing social media platforms and writing blog posts to corresponding with journalists, my tasks were versatile and it was never boring.
My time at NotInTheGuideBookshas been short but sweet. A big thank you goes to the whole team for being so welcoming and helpful. I feel that I have gained new insights into the travel industry and I am leaving with new skills that I am sure will come in handy in the future.
