Thai Fisherman Experience

Summary

Spend a day at a fishermans house. Visit a local sea salt farm then on to the fisherman’s village for lunch and water activities.
This tour supports 2 local communities, the Kok Kam Community, sea salt farm village and the Santor Community, Bangkok’s coastline fisherman village.

You will be driven from your hotel to a peaceful seashore of Bangkok, located on the Gulf of Thailand, and explore the local and traditional way of living.

Visit a local sea salt farm community where you will learn how salt is extracted from sea water.

Take a short boat ride to the fisherman’s village (the only way to access the village) where you will enjoy a seafood lunch at the fisherman’s house located on the water. The community farm cockles, blue crabs and local fish and have local fishing limits for each household so as not to destroy the mangrove forest. It is also strictly organic fishing and the use of chemicals is strictly forbidden.

After lunch you can choose from a number of water activities including kayaking, cockles picking or just relaxing by the water.

My friends and I had great fun to join the canal tour and tour of "Leisure Day of Fisherman House" last week. We visited the lotus pond, fruit farm, sea salt farm, making the rice cracker, riding the long tailed boat, kayaking , had a great seafood lunch..... Good is also a good guide and always has the smiling face. If you want to escape the busy life from the concrete city, I highly recommended both tours.
