Rice paddies in the garden of Bangkok
In the garden of Bangkok in an area called Nakhon Pathom you will visit rice paddies by local tractor – your guide being the local farmer.
In the morning g you will be collected and taken to the West side of Bangkok, heading to Nakhon Pathom known as the garden of Bangkok. This is where rice, fruit and flowers are farmed.
You will visit Khlong Yong community, a group of farmers who are passionate about organic farming and preserving the local rice. You will be taken by local tractor to visit the rice paddies (known as Kratae riding) where you will be shown the process of growing rice by the green hearth farmer. You will also be welcomed into the farmers house and then back to the community centre for lunch.
You will join them in making a traditional Thai dessert made from rice before heading back to Bangkok central.
