What You'll Do

Enjoy a memorable day out while cycling around Koh Kret, an island in the middle of the Chao Phraya River north of Bangkok.

In the morning, at 9am, your guide will collect you from your hotel by a private van and drive you to the Nonthaburi province (approximately 1-hour). Then you will take a local ferry across to Ko Kret Island.

Once you are on the island you will begin your bicycle tour. On this ride you will get to explore the local village, learn about the local culture, taste some local food and also soak in the scenery.

On this tour the first stop will be the Mon Temple. This Buddhist temple, has an impressive Mon-style marble Buddha statue. You can also explore the local museum which holds religious objects and also local pottery. You will also get to see a 200-year-old leaning stupa.

Then you will also participate in a pottery workshop run by local artist. Here, you will not only get to watch a remarkable local potter carving intricate designs you will also get to do your own handicraft. Take your creation home as a souvenir.

Lunch will be served at a local restaurant.

During this bicycle tour we will also stop at local communities where you will be able to taste local snacks by the river.

Afterwards, you will be driven by private vehicle back to your hotel.

Koh Kret is an island in the middle of the Chao Phraya River to the north of Bangkok.

It is a settlement by descendants of the Mon people. Nowadays, Ko Kret is known for its rural atmosphere and its busy weekend market. We would like to show you something a little different and take you to explore the other parts of the island. Here, you will get to know the local way of life.
