The Nordic Food Walk in Stockholm

From £73 pp

What You'll Do

This Food Walk takes you on an adventurous journey into the tastes, flavours, delights and historical significance of the Swedish cuisine through some of best markets and eateries of Stockholm.

You’ll meet your guide in the rich and famous Östermalm area for an introduction to the traditions of Swedish food – from richly flavoured and exquisite cheeses to seasonal game, and get it down with “The Gold of The North”(beer). You’ll get a red-carpet like infusion into the world of Swedish delights at the high end of the famed Östermalms Market Hall.

Heading towards the heart of the city you’ll have the chance to indulge in a traditional Swedish lunch. This will also include the crown jewel of a proud Nordic kitchen; the meatball! You’ll learn what types of potatoes to serve with it, which specific jams accompany them and other fun facts.

Next you’ll be guided through the beautiful Kings Garden. You’ll pass the area that Vogue Magazine voted the “third coolest district in the world”. The tour ends in historic Old Town, dating back to the 13th century and consisting of medieval alleyways and architecture. You’ll finish off here with  some traditional candy and sweets… the perfect ending to a great foodie day!
