What You'll Do

Get under the skin of Spain's most famous cuisine by shopping, cooking and eating like a local, on an authentic tapas cooking class experience led by a Seville resident and expert chef.

You’ll meet your host at around 11 am in front of Mercado de Feria, the oldest market in Seville and a lively hangout for the locals.

Dive into the madness and identify the freshest and most authentic ingredients under the supervision of your instructor, who will inform you of what is in season so that you’re guaranteed the best cooking experience.

After a short walk to a local house, you’ll spend 3-4 hours getting a masterclass in how to cook a truly authentic, delicious 3-course Spanish tapas and dessert, as well as how to prepare Sangria the Seville way.

And where better to learn all this than in the home of tapas? Originating in Andalucia, you will not get better tapas anywhere else in the world, and this experience offers the unique chance to learn from a local of this area.

A traveler since the age of 16. After a motorcycling trip in West Africa, I returned home to Seville, Spain with a new perspective on the importance of travel for both locals and visitors. Taking a closer look at Seville, I realised that the city I knew and loved was not the same one being packaged to unknowing travellers. The culture that made Seville so special to me was completely inaccessible to tourists. I was determined to find a way to give fellow travellers an authentic experience of Seville and Andalusia. A way to be invited into the culture as a close friend and not just a tourist.

We enjoyed the experience of the market and cooking with Angela. It was just the 3 of us so we where able to really ask her a lot of questions. She gave us suggestions on other things to do and places to eat- which was very helpful.

Our host, Maria, met us on time and spoke fluent English. She took us to the local market, where my Partner got to taste some of the best olives he has ever had. Maria discussed the menu with us and adapted it to suit our dietary Needs without any Drama. She took us back to her Apartment and we cooked up a four course lunch which we then ate together with a bottle of wine. A real insight into how the real People live, and some yummy Food to enjoy.

Our instructor Carlos met us at the market and we shopped for the ingredients for our meal together. Next, we cooked a great meal, all the while sipping our homemade sangria. It was fun from start to finish. Carlos knows his stuff! He is a personable, knowledgeable guy and has the patience of a saint!! Our menu was well thought out and the ingredients top notch. The meal came together perfectly. We were a group of four, plus Carlos. It was a nice mix of people, and I think the others enjoyed the day as much as I did. If you are in Seville, please consider booking this activity. If you are lucky, Carlos will be your instructor!
