What You'll Do

A fully inclusive 5 day tour of South Africa’s fabulous Garden Route including Knysna seaside village, Knysna Heads, Jukani Park and The Elephant Sanctuary,Tsitsikamma Rain-forest where we will zip-line across the falls, Bloukrans River Bridge where we can see the deepest bungy jump in the world. On Day 4 we travel to George and in the afternoon take a boat on the lagoon to see the oyster beds.

5 Day action packed activity and discovery-Garden Route Adventure.

We travel the 564-kilometre route up the coast through the western provinces scenic agricultural heartland with majestic mountain ranges A and sweeping vistas, with lunch on route arriving in the beautiful lagoon and seaside town of Knysna in the late afternoon, and we check into our 3 star Guest house for 4 nights (Option to books 4 Star accommodation). For dinner, we head down to the Lagoon for a buffet dinner cruise on a paddle steamer as it travels the full length of the Lagoon.

Day 2. We first head for the viewpoint with fabulous views of the Knysna Heads and its turbulent waters and views of the town. We then journey to “The Crags” for a full day of viewing some of the best animal parks in the world. We visit Jukani, the big cat park where we will be met by our expert guide and we will learn about the plight of the large predators as we get close to them. Lunch will be provided in the Crags area where to can take a well-deserved break.

We then head onto the Elephant Sanctuary where we walk with the elephants and guide and you can get up close and personal with these huge beasts. We then visit Birds of Eden, step inside the world’s largest bird aviary and onto a boardwalk more than a kilometre long which elevates into the tree canopy to get really close to the exotic birds which habitat this birds paradise. Finally, we visit Monkey land where we will see every a wide variety of monkeys and our expert guide will take us through this wooded forest on a guided walk. After returning the animal filled day we return to our guesthouse and after freshening up we go to the Knysna waterfront for dinner.

Day 3. A visit to the Tsitsikamma Rain-forest stopping at Keurbooms River for breathtaking views after which we will continue to a Canoeing activity either upriver to the fabulous river gorge, or down-river to the river Estuary. From here we continue to the Tsitsikamma Falls zip line where you will zip line across a series of zip lines going across the falls and then a well-deserved lunch at Storms River Village. We stop at the Bloukrans River Bridge and view the bungy jumping here. This impressive bridge is the largest single span bridge in the world and the deep gorge below is said by them to be the deepest bungy jump in the world. Dinner transfer to the Waterfront.

Day 4. We travel to town of George, the largest town in the Garden Route and visit the well preserved Railway museum. We then embark on the Outeniqua Power Van from the adjacent rail station, this unusual cute little train will take us up the Outeniqua mountain pass where the train will stop at the highest point for a picnic with fabulous views of George and the Indian Ocean and beyond. It is a fantastic trip and the views are really special. Returning to Knysna we take the oyster boat out into the lagoon oyster beds and an expert will be on hand to show us how to shuck (open) the oyster shells to retrieve the precious oyster inside. We also get to taste the difference between wild and cultured oysters. Evening transfer for dinner at the waterfront.

Day 5. After last minute shopping for souvenirs in Knysna, we head back to Cape Town with lunch en route we arrive Cape Town in the early evening
