Other Information

South Africa is renowned for both her beer and her wine, and we have some of the best wine farms and craft breweries right here in the Cape. We also know that sometimes the lads like beer more than the ladies do, and we don’t want to force anyone to chose between the two! So we’ve created our very own wine and beer tour, perfect for both guys and gals, with some biltong and an afternoon braai thrown in for good measure. This uniquely Capetonian tour takes you to the best spots along the famous Stellenbosch wine route.

Pick up

The tour requires a bit of a drive from Cape Town city centre, but you don’t need to worry about that. We’ll fetch you at 10 am at your location within the city bowl, and drop you off after the tour finishes – so you can have as much wine and beer as you like!

Stop 1: Microbrewery Tour & Tastings

Our first stop takes us to the home of the World’s Best Craft Lager of 2014. At this microbrewery, we’ll be treated to an in-depth tour of the facilities, taste four beers (including a uniquely local Rooibos infused lager), and indulge in a morning draught beer of your choice. Worried about your waistline? Don’t be! These beers are naturally low in carbs, with two being completely sugar and carb free, ensuring that these moments on the lips will never reach the hips.

 Cellar Tour & Tastings

Next, we’re off to a wine farm owned by a family with almost 250 years of history in the winemaking industry. They offer the true South African wine experience, but with their own French touch. Here we’ll have a cellar tour and wine tasting in one of the most

Traditional Cape Dutch Wine Farm & Tastings

We’ve had a little French, now it’s time for some Dutch. Our next stop boasts traditional Cape Dutch architecture, which is to be expected from a farm built in 1682! We’ll get to taste some top drawer wines here, and you’ll definitely want to pick a few bottles up when you see the affordable price tags.

 Biltong & Wine Pairing

Now it’s time for something you will literally only find in South Africa: a wine and biltong pairing. Yep, you read right, that’s wine and biltong – paired for your enjoyment while you drink in the spectacular views on show at this location. This is an experience you aren’t likely to ever forget, including panoramic views, carefully chosen local biltong and remarkable wines.

 Authentic Afternoon Braai

Our last stop of the day could not get any more authentically South African. We quite literally pull off the road into a dirt carpark to find a microbrewery in a shed. The beers on offer here are brewed in accordance with the strict old German Reinheitsgebot brewing law, presented in classic swing-top bottles. Here we’ll have an awesome chilled afternoon braai (coal barbeque), and you can enjoy some of the drinks you’ve purchased and brought with you on the trip. The owners let you bring in your own wine if you’re not in the mood for their beer.

Drop off

With all the festivities ticked off the list, we’ll head home for a 6:30 pm drop-off back at your location of choice in Cape Town city bowl.

A great way to see and visit the real parts of Cape Town. It includes stunning views, delicious wines, food and the 2 best tour guides! It's a fun, relaxed tour with plenty of local knowledge thrown in. As a Cape Town regular it was nice to experience a few new areas and see new sights. Thanks so much, guys, and a especially great sunset you arranged that day!

A 40-year school reunion called for something different to do in Cape Town. Girls from around the world joined us. Sophie and Drew arrived to scoop us up and immediately we felt at home. The history definitely needed some updating and they were filled with more intimate details of a city that I have lived in for many years. Wow. Beer tasting, wine tasting and incredible sights. Thank you for everything guys and for bringing us all together. I cannot wait for more friends to come out this way.
