There is no better paradise to get a grip on your Spanish than the stunning island of Menorca, boasting 70 beaches, a wonderful gastronomic & cultural scene, and diverse landscape to explore!
We are often contacted by Spanish learners aged 50 plus, worried about fitting in and keeping up with younger students. Even though all ages are welcome on any language holiday, this language school have dedicated a course specifically for 50 plus learners so you learn the lingo with your peers at a comfortable pace.
And that’s not all! The programme includes social activities during the week which will have you out and about among locals to put the day’s learning into practical use as you discover Menorca. Make new friends, tuck into tapas and have fun while you get to know the culture, locals, and improve your Spanish in the capital of this unique island.
Love the idea of a creative holiday but not sure where your creative talents lie? This is the holiday for you. Each day you will be doing something different as you explore different artistic avenues, including pottery and ceramics, jewellery making, soap making, card making and even a day of Spanish cooking!
Make sure you have plenty of room in your suitcase, as your creations will be going home with you. You’ll stay in a bright, lovingly restored Spanish Cortijo with a pool and many outdoor places to relax in. All meals are included and there’s an honesty bar to help yourself to while you lounge in the Spanish sun.
Here’s what Kath, 53, thought of the craft holiday:
“Great creative break that offered a varied programme of activities, wonderful accommodation and 5* food. From jewellery and ceramics with local artists, to soap-making and regional cooking. Nothing was too much trouble for our hosts Kathryn and Karen who made sure everyone had a great experience.”
If you’re going to go painting in the Bordeaux region, it would be a damn shame to miss out on the wine the countryside is famed for, so why not do both?
Created especially for those who have a passion for both art and wine, we are delighted to bring you this 3 night painting and wine holiday (please to ask if you would like the full week). Art teacher Jo has combined forces with her neighbours just across the vines in the family run organic vineyards of Chateau La Tour de Chollet to create this fully inclusive holiday (minus flights of course!). It’s a unique opportunity for you to paint the beauty of this stunning region as you sip a glass of the locally produced wine to really get your creative juices flowing.
Join British born photographer Darren, who now calls the charming fishing town of Essaouira his home. Essaouira boasts constant temperatures of around 20+ degrees year-round and provides keen photographers with plenty of colourful inspiration.
Darren will always be on hand to help you get to grips with your DSLR or take your existing skills even further. His excursions aim to give you the chance to absorb the richness of this enchanting town while allowing you to produce photographs that go far beyond the usual holiday snaps.
Rob, 72, had this to say about his photography holiday in Morocco:
“Because I have been taking photographs for over 60 years I was not sure exactly what to expect as well as how much I would actually learn, from my week in Morocco. I need not to have concerned myself as tutor Darren was marvellous (very knowledgeable and a nice chap too!). Because he was so patient, enthusiastic and well informed I would recommend a week with him to anyone of any level from novice to the more advanced/accomplished photo enthusiast.”
This holiday is perfectly designed for those who need a more luxurious break, while picking up two new skills to take home with you!
Your home for the week is a 150 year old farmhouse & gite in the lovely Gascon countryside, right next to a beautiful pool and sweeping views of the land. Caroline is a professional jeweller maker and can work with you in glass, precious metal clay (PMC) or precious metals. Adam, her husband, delights in teaching the famed French cuisine, with classics such as souffles, coq au vin, creme brulee, duck confit, and many more.
When not in the studio or kitchen, you’ll be seeing the best of the region, with a vineyard visit and wine tasting session, an armagnac distillery visit and tasting session, and an excursion of your choice to one of the amazing regional locations.
