On Stunning St Andrews beach in front of the Old Course and the home of golf what not take advantage of the wind coming in from the North Sea and race across the beach and experience Land yachting. This high adrenaline activity is a unique Scottish experience which can be combined with a round of golf on the world’s most famous golf course.

Children aged between 5 – 12 can ride along side an adult in the latest addition to our fleet on our Landyachts built for two.

Land yachting combines the grace of sailing with the adrenalin buzz of motor racing – imagine yourself sitting a few inches from the ground and racing your friends and family across the sands at top speed. It requires no previous sailing experience and the basic skills can be mastered within 15-20 minutes.

First, you’ll receive a full demonstration of how to sail a land yacht before going out to practice controlling the sail and steering. Then you’ll be given full tuition from your instructor as your confidence builds and you start sailing faster and faster. After a 2 hour session, you will have felt the full rush of speeding about on this stunning bit of Scotlands East Coast.

This is a great activity right next to the famous golf course, on the same beach as the film setting for Chariots of Fire. Run by a couple of brothers, these guys provide all equipment & safety needs. If you like sailing you will love this - even my daughter who has never sailed had a whale of a time! 1.5 hours of zooming across the sands over the watchful eyes of 4 capable staff, who are all very funny & entertaining. Do not worry about any lack of wind - there is always plenty coming in from the sea, causing lots of thrills & spills!

Great morning land yachting in St Andrews. Friendly, helpful instruction and plenty of wind meant it was easy to pick up quickly for a couple of hours of fun whizzing up and down the beach! Highly recommend.
