On 4th April you will be collected from Valladolid for a full day of Yucatan history and culture, this day experience takes you to one of the most incredible architectural sites in Mexico and a beautiful, off the beaten track cenote. On the 6th of April your tour will start in Merida and take you to the ancient Mayan city of Uxmal discovering wonderful sculptures and mosaics before your visit to a Chocolate Hacienda for lunch.
Selected as one of the new wonders of the World Chichén Itzá is one of the most spectacular archeological sites and a ‘must see’ for anyone visiting Mexico who has an interest in history and culture. The site is one of the most studied of Mexico’s ancient cities, allowing us unrivalled insight into the secrets of this fascinating civilisation and of what the city once looked like
Your expert guide will lead you through the centuries of history and development, as well as help you understand the amazing architectcture, art and engineering integrated into the city.
You’ll then visit the cenote; far from the crowds and run by the locals in the area, will transport you to a world that feels secluded and mystical. You will have a delicious lunch here( included) and then have the chance to go for a dip beneath the huge natural skylight and float in the clean, clear water, before heading back to your hotel in Merida.
On 6th April your guide will collect you from Merida for your tour of Uxmal.
You will visit one of the most important archeological site of the Mayan culture, experience the majesty of the ancient buildings of Uxmal. Afterwards you will visit a Beautiful Hacienda where we will have lunch ( not included) and then you will take a tour through its facilities and learn about the history and process of making chocolate – which was very important to the Mayans and other pre-Columbian peoples, when it was often used as currency. You will head back to your hotel in Merida arriving at around 6pm.

At 0800 On 4th April you will be picked up for the Hotel Posada San Juan in Valladolid for your full Day tour of Chichen Itza and Cenote
From there, you’ll enjoy a guided tour of Chichén Itzá, before heading to lunch in a beautiful secluded cenote for lunch ( included) and a swim
Finally, you’ll be dropped back off in Merida at La Maison Del Fray, at around 6pm
At 0800 on 6th April You will be collected from La Maison Del Fray for your Private Uxmal day tour, the ancient city is a great example of the Puuc architectural style of the Maya and then on to an eco-museum and chocolate Hacienda . You tour will end back in Merida at Maison del Fray at around 6pm
