Embark on this 4 day trip through the region of Alentejo, where you will experience authentic local activities whilst surrounded by the most beautiful landscapes.

On this 4 day tour of Alentejo you have the option of a driver-guide throughout, or a driving yourself and meeting your guide at the experience locations along the way.

Enjoy a walk through the sunny city of Évora, and prepare to be blown away by the beautiful monuments and peaceful squares; the Temple of Diana, and magnificent palaces built by kings, and the Gothic and Renaissance churches.

Discover a tradition that has lasted centuries in Alentejo. Located in an old olive oil press, this 14th century weaving factory also serves as a museum to traditional “mantas” (blankets) made in Reguengos, which have been discovered over the years.

Taste Alentejo’s nectar in one of the most unique and unusual wine cellars in the country. This is a truly off the beaten track experience that you are sure to enjoy!

At night, come and explore the clear skies of Alentejo, in an authentic star gazing experience. Accompanied by an astronomy expert, you will discover the clear unpolluted skies of this unique region.

Experience Itinerary

Arrival Day

Land in Lisbon, and transfer to Évora. Check in and settle in, before exploring the local area.

After arriving, explore the capital city of Alentejo. Evora is a Unesco World Heritage site,  its roots date back to Roman times and in the 16th century it was the seat of the Portuguese Kings. The wonderful architecture, white houses, with their coloured tiles and balconies and its medieval churches, palaces, cathedral and historic squares was the inspiration for the building of several Brazilian cities.

Enjoy a walk through the sunny city and marvel at the beautiful monuments, the city walls and its famous Aqueduct.

Unwind in your hotel for the rest of the day, marking the end of an amazing first day here in Portugal.

Today your local guide will take you to discover a tradition that has lasted centuries in Alentejo. No, airport transfers are not included in the price of this trip.

You have the option to book this trip with a rental car, meaning you can drive yourself, meeting your local guide at designated stops. The rental car option will include unlimited milage, collision damage waiver, theft protection, 24 hour road assistance. Alternatively, you can book this trip with a driver / guide for the whole trip and you will be transported in a 5 or 9 seater car depending on your party size. Choose which option you prefer on the booking page.
