What You'll Do

Dive back into deepest Dark Ages Europe on a pilgrimage to the most important religious site in Poland. On this unique historical and cultural adventure, experience a piece of the real Poland, and learn about a figure that has had a huge part in shaping the nation.

On this unique, one-of-a-kind tour, you will be picked up from your hotel at 9:00am before making the drive to Częstochowa, the picturesque religious heartland of the country. A city of dreamy spires, leafy avenues, and encircled by vast expanses of countryside that seems to stretch on forever, there is something that feels innately spiritual from the very moment of arrival.

The majestic Jasna Góra Monastery is a gothic masterpiece, almost 700 years old with an air of weighty, ageless sense of spirituality. The bell tower pierces the otherwise low-lying skyline, and it is here that your tour begins, with a 90-minute tour that sweeps you along on a journey through time.

Stories, myths and legends are woven into every element of the spectacularly ornate interior, as you are led from the revered, iconic image of the Black Madonna herself, to the legendary Knights’ Hall and the Jasna Gora Museum and Treasury.

This is a national shrine that devoted pilgrims make a 20-day trek to reach, and this is reflected in the mood – sombre, reflective and dignified. And why not? Credited with numeorus miracles, including saving the monastery from an invasion in the 17th century, the Queen Protector of Poland is well worth a visit.

After adding your name to the list of the 4-5 million visitors the Madonna has each year, before making the journey back directly to your hotel.
