What You'll Do

This amazing 6 days in Norway will provide you with memories to last a lifetime. Visit the most amazing sites that Norway has to offer, from the cosmopolitan city of Oslo to idyllic lakes and jaw-dropping mountains. Become immersed in the landscape on e-biking trips, and snorkelling in Lake Lyngstøyl! These are truly once in a lifetime experiences, guaranteed to make you fall in love with Norway and its people.

On arrival in Oslo you’ll be transferred to your hotel, where you’ll have chance to relax and freshen up before joining a local guide, who will be ready to show you around this cosmopolitan European capital, bursting with character and incredible cuisine.

They’ll give you a taste of what Oslo is all about, helping you get under the skin of the city to truly understand the culture of the capital, all whilst trying local snacks ranging from traditional delicacies to current foodie hot spots.

The next day you’ll collect your rental car, and you’ll embark on an incredible drive to Bestebakken, over Hemsedal mountain. Here you’ll stay at the idyllic Hotel Bestebakken, where you’ll be treated to a delicious 3 course meal, based on farm to table Norwegian cuisine.

During your first day at Bestebakken, Lindis, the owner, will teach you the secrets of baking a ‘Svele’, which is a traditional griddle cake. You’ll also have access to e-bikes, which we recommend using during the afternoon to explore the stunning scenery of the local area.

Once you leave Bestebakken, you’ll experience another jaw-dropping drive to Øye, where you can enjoy one of the most unique experiences the region has to offer, a snorkelling excursion in Lake Lyngstøyl. Swim through the crystal clear waters of the lake for a truly memorable experience! Later, you’ll head on a guided e-bike tour of the local area.

After another night at the incredible boutique hotel in Øye it’s time to take your car to the airport in Vigra! If you have time, we recommend taking a detour around the Trolls Road and Åndalsnes.

Throughout your time in Norway you’ll be treated to three-course dinners every night, and will be staying in some of the best hotels in the country for a truly comfortable, luxurious experience.

By the time you are on your flight home, you’ll already be planning your next trip to this beautiful corner of Scandinavia.

Your Local Host:

My name is Ingrid and I was born and raised in the west coast of Norway – in the middle of majestic mountains and deep fjords.

I myself will always prefer the less crowded places where I can connect with nature but at the same time with the comfort of a hot shower and a great meal.
