Your adventure begins when you arrive in Tromsø, where you’ll be picked up by your driver and taken directly to your hotel to relax and refresh. From your base, you’ll explore the Lyngen Alps on husky safaris and get to know the polar landscape in a way that’s been practiced for thousands of years, experience the thrill of a snowmobile excursion along an old ice fishing track, and, weather permitting, take part in a little more local heritage on an ice fishing expedition.
Of course, you’ll also join expert guides in hunting for the magical northern lights, as you leave the lights of Tromsø behind and head in to the wilderness for a true bucket list experience.
During your stay you will have plenty of time to relax in a sauna and wander the beautiful city known as the “Paris of the North”, before you head home after a Norwegian adventure sure to live long in the memory.

In the morning you will be picked up by your local guide to transfer out to the stunning
Lyngen Alps! A small group tour offers a unique chance to get to know these fascinating
animals even better. It is a perfect way to get out and explore the polar altitude that Tromsø has to offer.
You will first get the proper winter gear needed and important instructions before you set off mushing on your own.
After the tour you will enjoy a light meal such as a soup or a stew before your journey back to Tromsø starts.

The northern lights hunt by a small group is definitely worth it as your experienced guides
will take both the weather conditions along with the light predictions into consideration
before you set your destination for the night, heading out of Tromsø to avoid light pollution.
The lights are best visible in the dark – in fact the darker the better! So you will get out to the outskirts of the city into the countryside ensure that you get away from the city light pollution and into the wild.

After breakfast at the hotel you will be collected and taken to the coutryside to a frozen lake and the snow capped forests to enjoy a half day filled with adrenaline as you drive through an old ice fishing track, , taking you into the Tamok Valley and to Lake Finn! You will drive in pairs and swap over drivers half way if you wish, you can go at your own pace as you enjoy the wonderful winter scenery.
If the weather allows there might even be a opportunity to Ice Fish! You will be provided with proper ice fishing equipment, your guide will cut a hole in the ice and you can try your luck! The tour will end with a light meal and a warm drink at the campsite. This is day to remember!

This break runs out of Tromsø in northern Norway. Your driver will meet you at Langenes Airport and take you to your city centre accommodation, before dropping you back off at the airport on the final day of your itinerary.
