Join a cooking class that's a little out of the ordinary, on an organic farm on the outskirts of Marrakech, where you'll learn all the secrets of legendary Moroccan cuisine, jealously guarded by the locals.
We will pick you up from your hotel or riad, and make the quick 30km drive to the fringes of Marrakech, where we’ll stop at an organic farm.
Here, you’ll take a short walking tour of the beautiful organic vegetable gardens, learning the methods used to grow such exotic produce. You’ll learn what’s in season, what the region’s specialities are, so that when you return to Marrakech, you can order what you know to be the best dishes for the time of year.
Then, it’s time to learn the secrets to authentic Moroccan gastronomy. Moroccan cuisine is all about the perfect blend of spices and a few local tricks, which combine to produce that distinctive Moroccan flavour.
You’ll learn all the origins of the local cuisine, as well as the culinary traditions that are essential to cooking (and eating) authentically, and like a local. You’ll learn how Moroccan food has been influenced by a variety of cultures, creating a unique fusion of flavours not quite like any other country on earth.
You will learn all of this as you enjoy a hands-on cooking class, and you’ll be able to enjoy the fruits of your labour in an authentic setting, either in the dining room or the garden, depending on the time of year.
This is an authentic experience that truly immerses you in Moroccan food culture, such an important part to life here as a local.
