Choose a beautiful evening to scoot around town on that most essential of Italian modes of transport, the classic Vespa, and follow our carefully-crafted itinerary that shows you the very best of Florence.

The tour begins in central Florence, where you’ll jump on your own Vespa, after a detailed lesson or, if you’re already competent at riding a scooter, a quick refresher session.

First, we fly up to Piazzale Michelangelo, the city’s most famous sightseeing spot, which offers truly stunning views of the city. You’ll be there at dusk, the fading sunlight glowing off the terracotta rooftops and the vast, impressive Duomo.

After soaking in this first heartstopping sight, we’ll drive on and discover the San Miniato convent, another truly breathtaking spot providing yet more panoramic views of Florence, nestled in amongst the rolling Tuscan hills.

The convent itself is a beautiful medieval construction, centuries-old and complete with a fascinating history and otherworldy crypt. From here, you’ll see Florence sink into a deep blue Tuscany night, as the skyline lights up and shimmers against the dark, wooded hills.

Then, you will head back into the city to taste the real Florence’s street food “Panino with Lampredotto” (beef meat). This simple sandwich is symbolic of Florentine culinary traditions. In fact, this counts with centuries of History as was a very poor, cheap and simple plate.

As a cheap and simple snack, it was, for centuries, considered a dish for the poor residents of the city, however its popularity has exploded and now it is an essential part of Florentine culture, and a food you simply have to try.

The shops that sell these sandwiches are known as “Trippai” and are considered as one of the best sandwiches in all of Florence which, as a city with unbelievable taste in food, is pretty impressive.

After, you will be driven back to your departure place in the centre of Florence.
