Meet Seamus, a native of Strandhill and Ireland’s most well known professional bodyboarder. He will fill you in on all you need to know about the Irish surf scene and the heritage and history of County Sligo.
Then, after a lesson in the basics of surfing on dry land, you’ll be heading into the water under the watchful eye of your instructor as you enjoy the sensation of total freedom, surfing through the salt spray and the fresh sea air.
After your surfing experience, refreshed and invigorated, dry off on the beautiful beach and head to explore one of the many cafes or bars along the promenade, or the trails that lead into the spectacular hills.

He has a team of great instructors with loads of tips and patience. Highly recommend you take a dip with them if given the chance. You definitely won’t regret it. Also for the price with all the gear supplied to you, it is incredible value.

Arrive at Strandhill Beach car park around 10 minutes before the start time to find a parking space. Most guests have hired cars and make their own way to the beach, but if you need to use public transport let us know and we will provide directions.
