What You'll Do

Journey deep into the thick Jhalana forest for an unforgettable adventure into this unique, city meets nature reserve location to spot one of the most beautiful, poised and elusive animals in the world - the leopard.

We pick you up from a prearranged location at 6 am or 8:30 am, before heading out on a private jeep ride to the Jhalana forest at the foot of the Aravalli mountains. Jhalana Leopard Safari is unique in that it is a haven of wildlife, virtually at the doorstep of a city teeming with human life, and it therefore offers a unique opportunity to spot incredible wildlife without having to travel for miles.

A local nature expert will act as your guide, taking you into this area that is home to 25 leopards, the highest density of leopards across all of India. An expert guide and this fact mean you have a wonderful chance at spotting this graceful, yet powerful animal in its natural habitat. Sleek and stunningly beautiful, seeing this creature slink through the trees is an incredible sight, and offers brilliant photo opportunities of course.

But leopards aren’t the only animals to inhabit this forest. Keep an eye out for nilgai, spotted deer, Indian hares, foxes, porcupines and, scrapping at the top of the food chain with the leopard, the striped hyena. Of course, there are thousands of tropical birds that live natively here as well, bright, vivid splashes of colour in the deep forest, and these provide wonderful opportunities for any budding photographers to capture amazing pictures.

At the end of the tour, you’ll be dropped back straight at your hotel, having seen some Indian wildlife up close and personal.
