We set off at 9:00 am from Delhi, taking the 30-minute drive to Laksh Farms in the village of Mangar. Here, you can take the opportunity to gain a unique experience of rural India, of traditions, passed down over thousands of years, and of a side of life rarely seen by the crowds.
The morning is spent being given a tour of the farm, helping you understand the daily workings and lives of the people who live there. You will also be shown the processes involved in growing and harvesting the many varieties of crops that are grown on the farm.
Later, you have the chance to get stuck into rural life in India. Whether that’s getting your hands dirty milking the cows, harvesting organic and exotic vegetables, and cooking them into a delectable feast with the help of the locals, or embarking on tractor rides around sun-soaked farmland, you’ll get a chance to experience a real, down-to-earth, authentic way of life
A buffet lunch, lovingly prepared using fresh ingredients straight off the farm, will be provided at around 12:30. After this, you’ll be shown the Lakshya Foundation School, before you head back to the farm and, at around 4:00 pm, begin the journey back to central Delhi.
Lakshya Farm is just a 30-minute drive from the busy areas Chattarpur Mandir, Surajkund, Gurgaon and Faridabad, and yet on arrival, it feels like you’ve been dropped in another century. Get a bit closer to the India you wouldn’t normally see. Understand how people live away from the buzzing metropolises everyone sees, and sample a simple, wholesome lifestyle.
