For the more adventurous, there is little more rewarding than striking out on your own to discover a country as beautiful and awe-inspiring as Iceland. Set off on a self-driven tour of this spectacular corner of the world, and enjoy getting off the beaten track on the adventure of a lifetime.

Once you pick up your rental car in Keflavik airport, this 6-night adventure will take you all over the southern part of Iceland. Stay in two excellent 4* hotels, and use them as your base to discover glaciers, cascading waterfalls, geothermally heated pools, brooding mountains and endless wilderness.

You’ll experience the geothermal waters of the blue lagoon as you soak in the rejuvenating waters of nature. You’ll then go on to Reykjavik where you will spend the afternoon whale-watching, before you spend time exploring this vibrant, charismatic city.

Then, head deeper into the countryside where you will discover incredible natural waterfalls, glaciers, hot springs and The Secret Lagoon. You will also get off the beaten track and learn a little local culture when you visit a local tomato farm.

All in all, you’ll be able to revel in the freedom of the open road, the stunning wilderness and enjoy unique, magical activities at the end of each drive, all packaged up neatly in a 6-day activity holiday in Iceland that means you don’t have to waste time planning, you can simply jump in the car, and go and explore.

Arrival & Blue Lagoon

Upon arrival, pick up your rental car and drive to the Blue Lagoon which is only 20 minutes from the airport.

The Blue Lagoon is considered one of the New Wonders of the World. Enjoy a relaxing visit in the geothermal waters rich with three active ingredients – Silica, Algae & Minerals. Located between KEF Airport and Reykjavik it’s the perfect way to start your holiday in Iceland.

Whale Watching & Reykjavik

Enjoy the morning free at leisure in Reykjavik and in the afternoon embark on a Whale Watching Excursion from Reykjavik harbour.

Golden Circle

Visiting the Golden Circle is one of Iceland’s top experiences, where you get to see 3 of Iceland’s most beautiful natural wonders.

Visit Thingvellir National Park, where the world’s first parliament, Althingi, was located. See the majestic Gullfoss Waterfall, and the infamous Geysir hot spring, which no longer erupts but Geysir’s little brother Strokkur erupts every 10-15 minutes.

Secret Lagoon, Friðheimar Farm and Snowmobile

Today enjoy a day exploring some more of the jewels of the Golden Circle. You have already seen the sights that are officially included in the famous Golden Circle, but there’s more to see.

Enjoy a lovely relaxing soak in the Secret Lagoon, a wonderful geothermal spa.

For lunch visit Friðheimar Farm which is a huge tomato farm in a geothermally heated building. They offer the best tomato soup, with homemade bread all produced on site and you can even try tomato beer and tomato cocktails!

Kerið is an inactive volcano crater, and Faxi is a beautiful waterfall – both of these you can explore today.

To top it all of you will head to Gullfoss parking lot and meet with your snowmobile team.

From Gullfoss, you will board one of our custom-made Super Trucks that are capable of driving across rough snowy terrain thanks to its enormous tyres.

Ride across the eternally frozen snow and ice fields of one of the biggest glaciers in the world on a guided snowmobile tour, exploring one of the last true wilderness areas in Europe and indeed the world.

South Coast

The South Coast of Iceland is a place of dramatic and versatile landscapes.

This tour takes you to Seljalandsfoss & Skógafoss Waterfalls, Sólheimajökull Glacier and Reynisfjara, all the way to the small village of Vík. Take the opportunity to walk behind Seljalandsfoss waterfall, touch an Icelandic Glacier and walk on our black sandy beach of Reynisfjara. If there’s a clear day you will see Hekla Volcano and in the distance the glacier capped Eyjafjallajökull Volcano.

Location Information

You’ll pick up your rental car from Keflavik Airport, then head to Reykjavik, stopping at the Blue Lagoon en route, arriving at your first 4* hotel for the first two nights.

The itinerary then leads you around a good portion of Southern Iceland, where you’ll see the essential sight like the Blue Lagoon, Gulfoss and the Golden Circle, whilst also leading you a little further from the tourist trail for some unique experiences.
